"My friend and I stayed at Il Patriarca for 3 nights in October. I had booked the stay, which included breakfast, 2 dinners and a cooking class, through Travelzoo. I wasn’t sure what to expect but I must say we were greeted and treated as though we were top patrons. Linda at the front desk was especially helpful throughout our stay, answering all questions, arranging cabs…anything we needed. Our cooking class with Chef Donna at the helm exceeded all expectations! There were only 6 of us in the class and we had several hours of hands-on experience making 4 types of pasta, fillings and sauces. After the class, we were treated to a fantastic lunch in the dining room eating all of our “creations”! Perfecto!"

"From the surprise turn in the road, up tree lined drive and into this stylish small hotel, we were delighted in every aspect. Contemporary in decor and fit-out, with excellent facilities such as well designed and appointed large bathroom, beautiful relaxing garden and pool, looking over sublime Tuscan landscape, fabulous terrace restaurant. But special indeed was the hospitality and generosity of spirit of Sergio, Roberta and Maria, along with all the tireless staff. It took Sergio one second to not only help us communicate with our car rental company, on unexpected battery death, but to unflinchingly offer to,and drive us 1 hour to Perugia to collect another car… above and beyond!!"

"The property is conveniently located at the highway exit, just 100 meters from a convenient supermarket. With ample parking, the hotel has a vintage, 1970s-style decor, featuring a charming Vespa-themed pub and an elegant restaurant with a couple of cars in the dining room. Excellent dinner in an exclusive setting. The room is basic but clean with a comfortable bed. Fair prices. Good breakfast and friendly staff. The only flaw is the complete lack of soundproofing, meaning any noise, from the most annoying to the slightest, is inevitably noticeable. This affects the quality of sleep, which remains very poor."

"We have stayed in the house of Paolo and Caroline for almost three weeks. We have never felt more welcome then at this place. It is a well renovated traditional Italian house with nice and very clean rooms. Every morning we were woken by the smell of fresh bread and we were treated like kings by Paolo and Carolina. The house, the pool, everything is beautiful and clean. There is also a lot to see and do in the surrounding area and Paolo and Carolina are gladly willing to point to you the hidden gems in Toscane and Umbria. We had three perfect weeks, and are really thankful to Paolo and Carolina for having us at this please. This accommodation is by far the best i’ve booked in the recent years. Will come back for sure."
