A nice house with a beautiful garden, the dining room very nice decorated, however the room a little bit weird with chandelier lamps and dark blue velvert bed.

My family and I had the most incredible stay at Santo Refugio. Gerardo and the staff were so hospitable and made this one of the best experiences we have had so far during our travels in Mexico. The hotel was super comfortable and clean. And most importantly for us was how pet friendly they were! There was tons of grass for our dogs to run and play and everyone made us feel so welcome. Thank you to everyone at Santo Refugio! Will definitely stay here again.

The property is a lovely oasis, but what makes the place stand out is the staff. We were treated extremely well—like invited guests. Ana is marvellous, as is the rest of the staff. I can’t rave about them enough.

This is a wonderful boutique hotel with beautiful rooms, nicely manicured landscaping, and very helpful staff. Unfortunately, all of the positives were negated because the hot water is not reliable. Thus, showers were an adventure. At times, there was no hot water. At other times, after several minutes to allow the hot water to reach the room, it would last no more than 2 or 3 minutes before it would go cold. This is quite inconvenient when you are lathered up and then there is nothing but freezing water to rinse with. The lack of any in-room heaters made for some cold nights under the covers trying to warm up. We noted this problem to the management, who assured us that it would be fixed. But nothing was ever done to fix the problem, and it began to appear that the management was disingenuous that they were actually doing anything. We would have changed hotels, but we had paid in advance, and there were no nearby hotels to move to. We now understand why there were almost no other guests at the hotel.

Fantastic little boutique hotel
Fantastic little boutique hotel with really good installations. From the moment you arrive at this little gem of a hotel, you can feel that this place is the epitome of Boutique. The house, garden, swimming pool and restaurant are all extremely pleasant, and the place's family style high level service is really top notch. Will recommend this place any day.

Amazing place. Family run hotel with great attention to detail and extremely friendly and welcoming staff. Huge gardens with gym and swimming pool. Foods delicious and it's extremely relaxing with a view of the volcano. Highly recommend 10/10.

Para Desayuno y sesión de trabajo al mismo tiempo, en el comedor de la propiedad y además puedes salir al jardin a relajarte y estirar las piernas. Muy rico todo y a un muy buen precio. La atención es de primer nivel. Lo recomiendo ampliamente.
