Elysee Sky Hotel (Chongqing Jiefangbei Hongyadong Store)

Booking this hotel was purely for its proximity to Jiefangbei, and it proved to be the absolute right choice. Jiefangbei is right downstairs, and Hongyadong, Luohan Temple, and the Grand Theatre are all within walking distance. After enjoying the night views, there's no need to battle traffic; a leisurely stroll back to the hotel is incredibly pleasant. The room features extensive warm wooden tones, giving you a comforting sense of security the moment you step in. The toiletries have a soothing fragrance. Although the hotel doesn't have a restaurant or offer breakfast, there are simply too many dining options nearby. A bowl of fragrant glutinous rice balls with soy milk in the morning offers that authentic Chongqing flavor that chain hotel breakfasts just can't provide. The front desk staff, Meimei and Rongrong, also provide excellent service – they answer all questions and even help with planning routes.

Out of all the hotels I've stayed at in Chongqing, this one truly stands out. My overall experience was fantastic! The hotel's location is unbeatable. It's right next to Jiefangbei, Shibatil (Eighteen Stairs), Shancheng Steps, and the Eye of the City observation deck, practically encompassing all the major tourist attractions in downtown Chongqing. It's just a 500-meter, 10-minute walk from Xiaoshizi and Jiaochangkou subway stations. Getting around is super convenient; a taxi to Chongqing North Station, Chongqing East Station, or Jiangbei Airport takes about 20 minutes. The room itself is incredibly spacious with floor-to-ceiling windows that let in plenty of natural light. The view is absolutely stunning! Coming back to the hotel at night and seeing Chongqing's nightscape just melts away all the day's fatigue. What truly impressed me were the service and cleanliness. The cleaning staff regularly came to tidy up during my stay, asked if I needed trash emptied, refilled our drinking water, and changed towels. The room was quiet, spotless, and elegantly decorated. The corridor had a very pleasant fragrance that helped me relax. You can tell the owner put a lot of thought into the choice of bedding and furniture; the bedding was soft, comfortable, and had a subtle, fresh scent. The room was incredibly clean, with virtually no missed spots! The amenities were excellent, including a washing machine, microwave, and refrigerator. It was great to chill fruits and drinks before heading out and enjoy them when I returned in the evening! I also loved that the toilet and shower were separate! Anyone who understands the frustration of a wet toilet and shoes after a shower will appreciate this. Plus, the toilet was smart and very convenient to use. The front desk staff were also incredibly helpful. When I couldn't find the hairdryer, they responded almost instantly to my message without any hint of impatience. They even recommended famous local hotpot restaurants and specialty shops, which were all fantastic – no bad choices! The service was truly amazing 👍👍👍. They even gave me a small fan as a parting gift and offered free luggage storage. A big thumbs up!

This hotel is a hidden gem right in the heart of Jiefangbei, offering a peaceful retreat amidst the bustling city – that's truly invaluable. After a day of sightseeing, I could quickly collapse onto the comfortable sofa. The soundproofing in the room is exceptional, ensuring a great night's sleep. The overall style is light luxury and minimalist, and it's fully equipped with a smart toilet, high-definition projector, and thermostatic shower – definitely on par with a five-star experience. Although breakfast isn't provided, it wasn't an issue at all. Just a three-minute walk to the right from the entrance is the main branch of Huashi Pea Noodles; a bowl of authentic pea noodles hit the spot much better than any hotel buffet breakfast. The front desk's luggage storage and room service were both very accommodating. I sincerely recommend this place to anyone visiting Chongqing. Rongrong and Meimei provided excellent service.

An excellent hotel from start to finish, with top-notch service and stunning views, especially at night. The facilities are comprehensive, with high-quality bedding, a fridge, microwave, and a fine tea set. They even provided 4 bottles of water, which was a thoughtful touch. I took some photos of the beautiful scenery outside the window with my phone.
