This stay at Houju High‑rise River‑view Hotel was an extremely pleasant experience. Perfectly located in the heart of Jiefangbei, the hotel is within walking distance of Hongyadong and Bayi Food Street, surrounded by plenty of local restaurants for convenient sightseeing and dining. The floor‑to‑ceiling windows offer spectacular high‑floor views. You can overlook layered city buildings and the grand river in the daytime, and enjoy the glittering city lights at night. The room is well‑equipped with stylish retro‑American decor, soft bedding and a projector. The bathroom has a dry‑wet separation design. Great attention is paid to cleanliness, with every corner kept neat and tidy. The staff are friendly and efficient, responding promptly to requests. Quiet yet close to downtown attractions, it is ideal for couples and friends. Highly recommended for your trip to Chongqing, and I would love to come back.

The hotel is in a very bad shape. It’s really not clean and very old. One window was broken. It was advertised a 270 degree room, but there is only a 90 degree view.

Staying at Chongqing Houju High‑rise River‑view Hotel was well beyond my expectations on my trip to Chongqing. Nestled in the heart of Jiefangbei, the hotel boasts an unbeatable location. Major attractions including Jiefangbei, Hongyadong and Shibati are mostly within walking distance, while other spots are easily reachable by light rail, saving you lots of travelling trouble. Boasting high‑floor rooms with wide‑open views, it offers stunning river views and city nightscapes. Once the lights come on, you can feast your eyes on the unique glittering night scenery of mountain city Chongqing right in your room, no need to squeeze at crowded viewing platforms. The front‑desk staff provided thoughtful service and recommended authentic local hot‑pot, string skewer restaurants and home‑style eateries with great flavours and favourable prices, helping us avoid tourist‑trap venues. Featuring American‑style decor, the rooms stand out from most other hotels. The accommodation is spotlessly clean, with daily housekeeping service for extended stays. We had an amazing overall experience and will definitely choose this hotel again on our next visit to Chongqing.

My stay at Houju High‑rise River‑view Hotel was absolutely wonderful. It enjoys an excellent location in the core area of Jiefangbei. You can walk to Hongyadong and Bayi Food Street easily, with plenty of local restaurants nearby. The high‑floor room offers fantastic views of the Yangtze River and Yuzhong skyline. It is breathtaking to watch the city light up at dusk. The room is spotlessly clean, with tidy bedding and bathroom. Well‑equipped with a projector and lounge seating, the stylish retro‑decorated room is very comfortable. The staff are friendly and efficient, responding quickly to requests. Highly recommended for couples and friends traveling to Chongqing.

This hotel was located in a perfect spot, so close to everything in the city and great food right outside. The view was amazing, especially at night.

Everything's great - the location, the view, the room - except for the air conditioning. First, at least put a translation of what the Chinese text on the buttons means next to it. I used online translation and still lost the battle - no matter what I set it too, it was too cold, resulting in a sleepless night. And second - do the same (translation) for the projector.
