Oikoperiigitis Hotel

What a fantastic treat to stay here for a few days. As part of a photography trip organised by a friend, we stayed here at the beginning of February, and took advantage of daily trips on the lake to photograph the beautiful Dalmatian Pelicans, organised by Giannis and Babis at the hotel. The hotel is charming, in a beautiful village minutes from Lake Kerkini. The communal areas are cosy and warm, with huge open fires keeping the chill out, the bedrooms are spacious and impeccably clean, with fridge, large comfortable beds and decent hot showers. My room also had a balcony. The food in the restaurant was fantastic and very reasonably priced, and the breakfast also very good. All the staff were great, very welcoming, helpful and always smiling! The boat trips were fantastic, priced competitively, and provided plenty of opportunities to take photos of the beautiful pelicans on the lake, also finishing our trip with some shots of a kingfisher on the dock. There are plenty of other places locally for birdwatching, hiking and exploring, and the hotel staff are pleased to help. I can highly recommend both the hotel and the boat trips, we enjoyed it so much we are thinking of returning next year.

We went to Kerkini to experience the lake and its wildlife, and of course, to take many many pictures along the way. This Hotel is very close to the lake, which was a huge plus. Aside from that, our two guides Yannis and Babis made sure we always had everything we needed. As for the hotel, the rooms are pretty big and comfortable. Breakfast and dinner were great too, which was important as there are very few other options nearby. I never had the feeling that I was missing out on something. Everyone was super friendly to us. If you want to experience the rich wildlife of Kerkini, I would say that this Hotel is the best choice.

We had a fantastic experience during our stay! From start to finish we were pampered with excellent service. The rooms were large, beautifully arranged and clean. The hotel's cuisine truly earns the highest praise. what made our trip unforgettable were our daily tours of Lake Kerkini, guided by Yannis and Babis. Their dedication, passion and knowledge of the region made every tour an unforgettable experience. The entire team at the hotel was extremely accommodating and friendly. We felt well looked after and cared for at all times. Highly recommended - especially for photographers

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the hotel. The rooms were spacious and cozy, the staff always friendly and helpful, and the food delicious and varied. After many hours on the lake, it was a special highlight to sit by the fireplace in the evening with my friends.

Rustic, cosy hotel close to Lake Kerkini. The room was spacious and comfortable with a nice en-suite. The food was excellent and the portions were very generous. Lovely family run hotel and I would gladly visit again

I was on a photography trip to see the Pelicans of lake Kerkini. The hotel staff were amazing and helpful whenever needed. They put on wonderful food throughout my stay. Have to applaud Yannis, he ensured that I was able to see the pelicans at every opportunity and pointed out other birds and animals in the area. The hotel is nice and rooms have AC, although during February, it's not really needed. Rooms had a fireplace if I needed it and the lounge area was great to relax in between my trips to the lake. Definitely recommend the hotel.
