InterContinental One Thousand Island Lake Resort Reviews

This was our second stay at the hotel and it was just as nice as we remembered.  The staff are very friendly and helpful, the hotel and rooms are very clean and there are lots of lovely views and relaxing activities to do.  The food at breakfast and at the evening buffet was delicious and we enjoyed National Day fireworks in the evening.  The outdoor pool was very clean and relaxing to use and the jacuzzi was very warm.  My daughter loves the play area and we had fun in the arcade.  We really enjoyed our stay.

SEXUAL HARASSMENT CASE (SHAME ON IHG) We have been sexually harassed and followed by a crossdresser who is a Golden IHG member in the hotel since the moment we checked in. He has been following us throughout the pool, our floor, and breakfast. We eventually brought this to the attention of the hotel's management, but they were unable to handle the situation professionally and referred to it as "Our Bad Luck." In order to verify that this was an occurrence that the hotel failed to adequately handle, the police had to look into the matter. The hotel's top management attempted to investigate the matter further and bribe us with presents in order to keep the problem from being brought to attention. One thing that came into our realisation is that if you’re not a member of IHG in this hotel you have no saying and the matter will be dealt not with IHG standard but the hotels own unprofessional standard. It’s unfortunate that a brand like InterContinental are managed by these irresponsible and unprofessional people. The resort barely has anything open so expect a half operated pool and no hot spring and special dining activities. Save your time and money and go for more family friendly resorts.

The best luxury hotel in Qiandaohu lake , the staff are very kind and helpful, the room and whole hotel is very clean and the playground for children is very suitably . 100% recommend 🌹🌹

Beautifully located hotel, with great views and access to Qiandaohu. Amazing service by Intercontinental Experience Ambassador Klein, who was able to help with any requests needed. Children loved the services available including electric cars, train, indoor play area. The only area I would say needs some improvement is food choices for children. Very limited choices for what they could eat.

It was really comfortable stay for my family. Outdoor pool with great river view was still open so kids really like that and restaurants were also enjoyable. The room condition was also good. Thanks to Maxine for her kind support during my stay 😊

A terrific location with amazing hikes and amenities within the resort. Front of house staff are welcoming and eager to assist. The Japanese restaurant is excellent. Servers Grace and Echo are extremely polite and lovely. Avoid the Chinese restaurant on the ground floor as the service and food quality are below standard.

A beautiful resort with very friendly staff. The location is perfect. The food was good, but not excellent. Breakfast buffet was much better than dinner buffet.

A 5* hotel for Chinese customers, not international guests. The hotel facilities are really nice with nice bedrooms and the park around the hotel is a real plus. They also propose a lot of activities. On that side, this is up to intercontinental standards or even above. However, there were 3 points that were disappointing and for us are not up to standards for a 5 stars hotel: - no English-speaking staff is not acceptable for an international brand. We could not communicate at the reception or restaurant. - it is mentioned 4 restaurants are open on the website and in the public area (1 Japanese, 1 Chinese, 1 buffet and 1 international) while actually only 2 were opened : the Chinese and international one. The latter is not up to international standard: no dessert menu, drinks menu only available in Chinese and the quality was average at best. - Service for food and drinks is generally speaking very slow (1h to get hamburger while being the only customer/ +30mn to get drinks at the bar) even though the staff is nice.

excellent sevice. the staff goes out of way to fulfill your needs. good breakfast and buffet dinner. lot of activities for youg kids.

The service during check-in and dinner at the Western-style restaurant were disappointing. The guided walk was advertised as a stroll yet it was a hike. The painting activity was nice.
