My three-day, two-night stay was the perfect introduction to a resort-style hotel. Both the hotel's facilities and services were impeccable! ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥 ✅ First, let's praise the hotel's excellent location: who knew the exclusive access to Xan Shan Peninsula was such a privilege?! (Pictures 1-16 show the hotel facilities and surroundings, unedited photos) The hotel also boasts a very large garden and surrounding attractions perfect for photoshohoots. It's just beautiful, beautiful, beautiful! Within a few minutes' walk, you can reach Xan Shan Botanical Garden (honestly, not much to see, but there are daily parent-child activities), Lover's Gorge (great for couples to take photos), the hotel's exclusive lighthouse (Picture 7, very atmospheric), and the hotel's seasonal fruit orchard (high parent-child interaction, with different fruits available for picking in different seasons). When the weather is good, you can take many beautiful scenic photos. When it's cloudy or rainy, you can experience the unique humidity of the Jiangnan region and the fresh air provided by the lush vegetation. ✅ Next, let's talk about the hotel facilities. The hotel is divided into three buildings, A, B, and C. Building B offers the best lake views, with a complete panorama of the lake's beauty. The layout is very reasonable, with convenient connections between all areas. You can tell a lot of thought went into the design. The indoor and outdoor pools are regularly disinfected with chlorine balls, and the water is clear and sparkling, perfect for children to play in. The hotel also has a swim shop with affordable items, which is very convenient for guests who haven't brought all their swimming gear. Every day, the hotel has an activity schedule listing the names and locations of various parent-child activities at different times throughout the day. There's a wide variety to choose from. There's also a super large indoor children's playground, which is cleaned very, very thoroughly. I really want to thank the cleaning staff for their hard work here. ✅ Dining (Pictures 18-19) The hotel has a Chinese restaurant, a Western restaurant, and a Japanese restaurant, offering a rich and diverse selection. Set meals can also be purchased in advance on your phone. The hotel even provides a free shuttle service to nearby farmhouse restaurants (PS: the prices are very, very, very affordable, and the vegetables are freshly grown and incredibly fresh). The most commendable aspect of the dining is the complimentary breakfast buffet. The variety is incredibly extensive, and they even adjust the dishes daily to better cater to different guests' preferences. Soups, desserts, freshly squeezed juices, freshly made guokui (griddle cakes), mini-hamburgers, and more! You can also scan a QR code to order noodles and freshly made wontons. I always end up eating too much every day, darn it! ❗️They even consider the need for liquid food for infants and provide various flavors of rice cereal. In addition, whether it's the minibar in the room and the complimentary welcome drinks (Qiandao Lake beer), the incredibly seasonal, crisp, and sweet fruits, or the thoughtful turndown service, every detail showcases the hotel's humanistic care. It's truly commendable (Picture 17). ✅ The absolute most praiseworthy aspect is the high-end, meticulous, and thoughtful service staff. Special thanks to: Ada and Joey at the front desk for check-in, Connor and Cindy from concierge, and our butler Landy. As soon as we got out of the car, concierge Cindy greeted us warmly and proactively helped with our luggage, leaving a deep impression. The young man at the front desk who handled our check-in was also very enthusiastic in confirming our booking and upgraded our room for free. Throughout our stay, Connor drove us to and from nearby restaurants, the lighthouse, and Lover's Gorge. He was practically on duty all day until 10 PM, driving steadily and with a truly excellent attitude. He was super cool! Finally, and most importantly, our very, very responsible butler, Landy. She first introduced us to the locations and functions of the different venues, and informed us of the breakfast times. From the moment we added her as a friend, she consistently upheld her initial message: "Please contact me anytime with any questions." Whether it was day or night, she would respond and answer immediately to any query, booking vehicles, and even introducing nearby attractions and routes (with accompanying pictures for us to decide whether to visit). During our stay, there was a miscommunication during the cleaning staff's shift change. We had requested no cleaning the day before, but someone still entered the room and tidied it thoroughly. This unannounced entry made us a bit anxious when we returned to the room in the evening. Our butler immediately called us to calm us down and quickly contacted housekeeping. Soon after, we learned it was a thoughtful turndown service. We had initially considered contacting the duty manager to investigate, but we declined. This butler Landy truly, truly deserves praise. Her immediate contact and quick resolution smoothed over the issue, and left us with an extremely satisfying three-day, two-night experience. Her warm and thoughtful greetings every evening and morning made us deeply feel the hotel's excellent staff training and abundant humanistic care! 👏🏻 See you next time, Freedom Intercontinental Palace!

This resort boasts picturesque views from the windows, a delicate and rich breakfast, and complete recreational facilities. I'll definitely come again, haha! Facilities: Comprehensive, comfortable, and spacious. Hygiene: Clean and tidy. Environment: Beautiful and pleasant. Service: Warm and thoughtful.

The hotel has a beautiful environment, nestled by mountains and water. The kids' play area is huge, with plenty of activities for children, making them very happy. Our experience ambassador, Joey the raccoon, provided excellent service.

After a long search, I finally decided on Free State! I really liked its quiet location, surrounded by mountains and water! Upon check-in, the front desk upgraded us to a premium lake view room! It was truly delightful! What's it like to fall asleep admiring a lake view? You'll only know if you experience it yourself 😌 The breakfast at Free State was incredibly generous! You can take your time and enjoy it, with everything from Western to Chinese options! The service at Free State deserves a special mention, from the front desk to the housekeeping staff and restaurant servers! Everyone was so friendly and polite! We even received a souvenir when we checked out! This trip was 💯! Finally, I must mention the neighboring Xianshan Hotel – their fish head soup was absolutely delicious! Fresh, tasty, and endlessly memorable! I'll probably choose them again on my next visit!

Time seems to slow down here. Just let your heart soak in the scenery. The breakfast was plentiful, and lunch was delicious. The views are unbeatable. The kids absolutely loved cycling around the lake. And having our own patch of lawn was so much fun. I even flew my drone, and the unfiltered views were stunningly beautiful.

The hotel is beautiful, with a naturally understated elegance in its public areas that perfectly complements the beauty of Qiandao Lake, which I really loved. All the facilities are also excellent; the breakfast and lounge were very satisfying. Our room was on the 8th floor, with a spacious living room and views of green mountains right outside the window. The snacks at afternoon tea and happy hour were delicious, and I especially remember the fish congee, red bean matcha tart, and freshly squeezed fruit and vegetable juice from breakfast. Special thanks to our butler Jasmine for her high-quality and thoughtful service throughout our stay. We'll definitely be back!

I guess I'm a loyal customer of this hotel in Xian Mountain, Qiandao Lake. I've been there twenty times, and every time I visit Qiandao Lake, I still choose this hotel. There's a unique sense of appropriateness here – they don't seem to be merely providing service, but rather 'taking care' of you, making you feel like entering the hotel truly marks the beginning of a vacation: free, comfortable, pleasant, and warm! I felt it the moment I arrived. The car had barely stopped at the entrance when the bellhop scurried over to open the car door, greeting us with a smiling 'Hello, welcome home.' After we checked in, a bellhop proactively helped us with our luggage, introducing himself as he led us to the elevator: 'If you need anything these next few days, just call the concierge. My name is Henry.' He was a bright and efficient young man with a constant smile. Just hearing him say that, and seeing his smile, made you feel like he wasn't just completing a task, but genuinely inviting you to reach out, all to put your mind at ease! On the day we checked in, I casually asked if there were any good running routes nearby and what fun things there were to do. Henry actually took the time to draw me a map, explaining the hotel's layout, where I could run, where I could cycle, where I could hike, where I could pick bayberries, and where I could eat. He even reminded me, 'Before 6:30 AM, the boardwalk is less crowded. If you like photography, you can go and take pictures of the sunrise; it’s really beautiful.' The next morning, we indeed went to the lighthouse and the camphor tree forest. When we returned, dripping with sweat, we ran into him again in the lobby. He enthusiastically asked, 'Finished your run? The weather's great today, how was it?' – just like an old friend I'd known for ages. It feels wonderful to be remembered! Another time, our group of ten went to the hotel. In the evening, he led us to chase the sunset. We walked cheerfully along the path on Xian Mountain Peninsula. He walked in front, constantly describing the surrounding scenery and sharing stories of past guests, occasionally turning back to make sure everyone was still with us. In that moment, it didn't feel like staying in a hotel; it felt more like being shown around by a local old friend, listening to him share everything about the area… The hotel is now called InterContinental One Thousand Island Lake Resort, and everything is still as beautiful and comfortable in that resort style. The moment you step into your hotel room and open the door, the entire Qiandao Lake unfolds before your eyes. You can't help but think: 'This is exactly what I wanted!' The mist and mountain breeze intertwine, a gentle drizzle, so comfortable you don't want to move. The bedding was just the right firmness, and I swapped my pillow for a buckwheat one, sleeping soundly until my alarm went off – which is quite rare in a hotel. The breakfast restaurant is also the most extensive among similar hotels, with a vast array of dishes prepared meticulously. There were six or seven kinds of green leafy vegetables for the salad alone, and a variety of dressings. There was also a young man making fresh squeezed juice, busy but with a good-natured smile on his face all morning long… So, what does staying in a hotel mean, you ask? Is it just staying for two nights, looking at the lake, and eating fish head? Actually, it's about enjoying the service the hotel provides, not just the 'hello, thank you, sorry' routine, but feeling that someone truly cares about your feelings, your needs, and your mood! InterContinental One Thousand Island Lake Resort doesn't feel like staying in a hotel to me; it feels more like visiting a friend's home who truly understands you. You want to go back every now and then to see your old friend and everything you hold dear! The lake view is beautiful, but what makes me want to keep returning are those warm moments I remember… The lake views will stay in our photo albums and on our phones, but those people and those moments of being treated with kindness will always remain in my heart…

The first room I was assigned smelled like smoke, but after I talked to them, they switched me to a room with a great view. The service was prompt, and they tried their best to accommodate all my basic requests. I was lucky with the weather; it was cloudy on the first day but sunny on the second, and I could watch the stars from the balcony at night. The desserts at breakfast were good.
