Sunset at Xianshan Peninsula: It feels like an island with a single hotel. First day minibar experience: Plenty of Nongfu Spring water! First day welcome fruit: Peaches were hard. Haha. Service: The hotel has a shuttle bus to the high-speed rail station, which is great. It's about 50 meters straight out from the exit. The schedule is fixed, so you need to plan ahead. It's still more suitable for self-driving. Surroundings: It's very convenient to get to Pixiu Town. There are hot air balloons, go-karts, and water activities. There's also a beer museum to visit with many activities inside, the VR is quite good. However, it's inconvenient to go to other places. Suitable for a vacation if you don't want a crowded experience. Facilities: Both indoor and outdoor swimming pools are available. Cleanliness: Relatively clean. Special Feature: There's an instant noodle bar from 9 PM to 11:30 PM. It gets so crowded it makes you question your life choices.

The room was fantastic! I could enjoy the lake and mountain views right from my bed, and the sunset was absolutely stunning! Breakfast was delicious, with very fresh vegetables and fruits. The space was huge, and there were so many activities for kids – even the two of us adults had a great time! Watching the sunset by the outdoor pool in the evening was super cool! We'll definitely bring the baby back next time for another experience.

The hotel's location is excellent, really giving off a strong resort vibe. It's so peaceful and truly allows you to relax. The views of the lake and mountains are right in front of you, and the hotel's public areas are also beautiful to explore. The nearby restaurants have good food too. It's perfect for a staycation.

Our stay at the InterContinental One Thousand Island Lake Resort was fantastic. It's uniquely located on the Xian Mountain Peninsula, offering expansive lake views and a tranquil environment. The hotel boasts excellent facilities for families and provides meticulous, attentive service. We especially enjoyed the 7° Travel Photography experience. The photographer was skilled at finding the best spots and provided natural guidance, resulting in some great candid shots. They beautifully captured both the stunning lakeside scenery and our family moments. The room comfort was top-notch, and our overall stay was incredibly pleasant. It’s an ideal spot for a family vacation and comes highly recommended.

InterContinental Qiandao Lake, exclusively occupying the Xian Shan Peninsula, is a scenic destination in itself, perfect for a slow-paced getaway. The hotel offers a rich variety of dining options. The breakfast buffet on the first floor boasts a wide selection, and we enjoyed several excellent meals at the Chinese restaurant. The late-night diner on the fifth floor, opening at 9 PM, became a regular treat for the kids after swimming, serving various instant noodles with fresh eggs and vegetables. There's also a Japanese restaurant outside the lobby, perfect for a relaxed meal after a scenic walk or bike ride around the lake. You can rent bicycles and 'Panda cars' to explore the island. The peninsula is ecologically pristine, with blue butterflies dancing and swallows flitting about, showcasing abundant wildlife. Both indoor and outdoor pools have regularly changed water and are well-maintained. The hotel also has its own yacht pier; simply book at the front desk or buy tickets at the lobby shop for direct access to Huangshan Peak, making travel incredibly convenient. The most heartwarming part of our stay was the housekeeping auntie. When she saw my child's summer homework spread out, she thoughtfully placed an eye-protection desk lamp, noticing the dim light in the room. This small act of kindness was truly touching. With one island, one hotel, far from the hustle and bustle, nestled between the lake and mountains, enjoying nature in peace – this is the ideal state of a vacation.

Overall, the hotel was great. It might have been peak season, as check-in was a bit slow. We also had to wait during breakfast rush hour. Everything else was excellent. The staff, including the lifeguards by the pool, were all very enthusiastic. Our personal butler, Erica from Xiao Paofu, provided excellent service with instant responses. I would definitely stay here again on my next visit.

This trip exceeded our expectations, we were very satisfied! Our butler Erica was incredibly attentive, proactively following up from pre-arrival to check-out, and even until we got home. She truly went above and beyond to meet all our requests. The front desk staff were also super thoughtful, offering us a complimentary room upgrade. They even asked each of us for our pillow and blanket preferences, and specifically prepared two different types of pillows for me. The stay was a fantastic experience!

The hotel was fully booked on the day of our check-in, and we arrived over an hour early. Several staff members introduced us to various activities to pass the time, including a dedicated room for movies, board games, and a swimming pool. While waiting for our room, the service and amenities at InterContinental Danyang were exceptionally warm and thoughtful. The room was a family lake-view suite, accommodating four people. The hotel's location, far from the central lake area, was incredibly tranquil, with no tourists by the lake. Away from city light pollution, we surprisingly saw the Milky Way on our first night, a rare sight in East China. The swimming pool offered different children's activities daily. The botanical garden had a vast array of flowers and butterflies, along with a koi and swan pond where we could feed the fish. The hotel's two wings also featured a lighthouse and an observation deck. The buffet dinner had everything we could ask for, and on Chinese Valentine's Day, they even gave out roses. The fish head dish at the Chinese restaurant was absolutely superb. Breakfast deserves special praise; despite the hotel being fully booked, we could order noodles via our phones, and the staff proactively asked about our coffee preferences. This is exactly the standard expected from an established InterContinental brand, and even with the summer crowd, the service and quality were uncompromised. Finally, a special shout-out to our thoughtful butler, Emily. From the moment we checked in, she was incredibly attentive. On our last day, we had an early morning departure for a yacht in the central lake area. Without hesitation, Emily helped us arrange a late check-out, even during the busy summer season. To be honest, when I heard that the InterContinental was being rebranded, I had some reservations, worrying about a potential drop in service. However, after staying here, I can confidently say that this is by far the best hotel in China, in terms of both quality and service, that we've stayed at with our child during the summer season. Both its hard and soft assets are top-notch, and its service easily rivals that of established luxury hotel brands. I rarely choose to stay at the same hotel twice in the same location, but InterContinental Danyang has made me eagerly anticipate my next visit.

The hotel design is beautiful and well-maintained. **Xianshan Oxygen Hiking Tour:** The guided tour was a great experience. **Swan Garden Feeding Experience:** The environment was excellent, not too crowded, making for a fantastic summer holiday experience. **Environment:** A superb environment, very suitable for self-driving tours. It's very suitable for family travel as it offers many extra services specifically for children, including a variety of breakfast dishes and bed rails for sleeping. For business travelers, thoughtful amenities like nail clippers are provided, which are rarely found in other hotels. I experienced some deep healing services, such as the morning Baduanjin stretching for awakening and the deep sleep therapy before bed. My child also had an art photoshoot. Water park tickets were also included. Areas for improvement: The room lighting was too dim, making it impossible for children to do their homework. The room ventilation system wasn't great, especially the bathroom, which lacked a separate extractor fan. Overall, it was excellent value for money.
