While this property offers a peaceful escape from the cramped hotels of Seoul, there are significant logistical issues that travelers should consider.
First, the location is misleading. Although it is advertised as 1.5km from the ski park, the hotel is on the opposite side of the mountain; reaching the slopes requires a 20-minute drive back through town. Second, the check-in policy is dangerously rigid. Check-in is strictly between 3:00 and 6:00 PM. We arrived just 30 minutes late and were left outside in sub-zero temperatures for 90 minutes before someone finally let us in. With no reception area or way to keep warm, we were at risk of hypothermia.
Furthermore, there is a major language barrier. The owner speaks no English and only communicates via phone, making it nearly impossible to get assistance. Even CTrip customer support struggled to reach them. Transportation is also an issue: rideshares are unavailable, and when the owner offered us a ride in her personal car, she charged double the price of a local taxi.
On a positive note, the rooms are spacious, comfortable, and feature a great indoor Jacuzzi—perfect for families. However, I believe CTrip should not market this to international guests. This hotel is only suitable for those who speak Korean, have their own vehicle, and can arrive strictly on time.
