Directions are a little confusing, we was given instructions that satnav could send us opposite where we needed to be, so just to park on the station inn. We felt that if we was just instructed to park on station inn, and the lodges etc are on the edge of this car park would have been much easier. Also, instruction or a sign to say to check in at the pub would have also been useful. Sadly, we didn’t feel the lodges etc were best placed, with a view of the car park and the road. We think it would have been nicer to be facing the trees the other way. Our pod was the first in line and we felt we had no privacy with the hot tub, we was overlooking the lodge next to us and the car park. After a sneaky peak I think the other pods had more privacy but we just didn’t feel like ours did. Moans over!! On entry to the pod it was super warm - we really appreciate the central heating being put on and the sentimental touch of a welcome gift brought a smile. I loved the welcome booklet and was humbled by the story behind the lodges. Also really appreciated the hints and tips given. The shower was powerful and lovely and hot! I am a very light sleeper and a big fidget with multiple wakes in a night.. let me tell you I was out like a light and didn’t wake once! The bed was wonderful and the pitch dark cabin was perfect. I feel the pods would be a good reset for anyone with a busy life or for hikers for a cosy rest. Even though it’s cold we spent over 4 hours straight in our hot tub and could have stayed in longer.. I also would feel comfortable in staying there myself as the door was lockable and I would feel safe on the balcony myself. Overall, a lovely experience and I have came home feeling very relaxed and at leave after a difficult few weeks. Defiantly worth a go.. even in winter.. just bring your woolly hat! Thank you
