Directions are a little confusing, we was given instructions that satnav could send us opposite where we needed to be, so just to park on the station inn. We felt that if we was just instructed to park on station inn, and the lodges etc are on the edge of this car park would have been much easier. Also, instruction or a sign to say to check in at the pub would have also been useful. Sadly, we didn’t feel the lodges etc were best placed, with a view of the car park and the road. We think it would have been nicer to be facing the trees the other way. Our pod was the first in line and we felt we had no privacy with the hot tub, we was overlooking the lodge next to us and the car park. After a sneaky peak I think the other pods had more privacy but we just didn’t feel like ours did. Moans over!! On entry to the pod it was super warm - we really appreciate the central heating being put on and the sentimental touch of a welcome gift brought a smile. I loved the welcome booklet and was humbled by the story behind the lodges. Also really appreciated the hints and tips given. The shower was powerful and lovely and hot! I am a very light sleeper and a big fidget with multiple wakes in a night.. let me tell you I was out like a light and didn’t wake once! The bed was wonderful and the pitch dark cabin was perfect. I feel the pods would be a good reset for anyone with a busy life or for hikers for a cosy rest. Even though it’s cold we spent over 4 hours straight in our hot tub and could have stayed in longer.. I also would feel comfortable in staying there myself as the door was lockable and I would feel safe on the balcony myself. Overall, a lovely experience and I have came home feeling very relaxed and at leave after a difficult few weeks. Defiantly worth a go.. even in winter.. just bring your woolly hat! Thank you

We are just back home from a fab 2 day break, with our base at Mountain Edge. We cannot rate this place highly enough. Check in was easy. Our timber lodge was well equipped and very comfortable. The bonus of (at extra cost) the outdoor hot tube was great, particularly after a gruelling hike up Long Mynd! We booked the meat pack on offer, and for £10 was great value, cooked on the outside bbq. We ate in the pub, The Station. Again we’d highly recommend. It’s a beautiful part of the country with great walks. All in all a lovely couple of days. We’ll hopefully return in the not too distant future!

Stayed in Pod 6 for my birthday weekend and cannot wait to return! We booked an empty pod with electric socket, lights and electric heater. We made it all cosy with our own comforts from home and had the best weekend! We ordered the breakfast pack both mornings which was divine. Staff were pleasant, kind and attentive. We had a carvery at The Station and it was exceptional. So much beauty on the doorstep.....absolutely blown away with my experience. Thanks to all the staff... You do a fantastic job and it is appreciated.

Great biking weekend in South Shropshire. We stayed at Mountain Edge in one of their Mega Pods, lots of space, clean and a fantastic pub/restaurant on site, made it nice and easy to rehydrate after a days exploring! Will definitely be back and hopefully stay for longer next time.

The Mega pod was nice and clean and the bed was super comfy. The sink in the toilet was blocked and nearly overflowed just from brushing your teeth. The hot tub was warm but had no jets. The shower had black mould around the seal. The Station pub was ok the staff were a bit grumpy and didn’t hold much conversation but the lady that checked us in was lovely and friendly. The food was good I would recommended the steak and Stilton pie. The fish was a bit dry and tasteless. Sticky toffee pudding dessert was a bit burnt but was still edible. The toilets had no toilet roll and I had to ask a member of staff for some which was a bit embarrassing. Local Area was stunning would recommend climbing carding hill Valley mountain.

Upon arrival we received a poor greeting from the member of staff - Rude and dismissive, not the welcome I’d of hoped for after splashing out on an expensive stay. The hot tub was not up to temperature, was tepid, a lovely member of staff assisted with getting this reset but then took a further 2 hours to get to temperature. There was bird mess on the outside furniture- which unfortunately had clearly been there for a while. The overall experience was disappointing but when emailing management to discuss my concerns I have received an argumentative response with a bland apology.

On arrival we had to go into the pub to "check in" which involved standing waiting at the bar (as if we were buying drinks lol) Lady checked us in. Not a single smile or welcome until the end where was passed the key to our pod and said have a nice stay! Was a bit annoyed by this tbh. Pod was basic as expected and very clean.. was happy with the privacy. Toilets were pretty clean too. Was very noisy at night in carpark with people leaving the pub. Just want to add I had been calling all afternoon with an enquiry prior to arrival with no answer, also leaving a message with no return call. Not great! Unfortunately we wouldn't return

Very basic accommodation in the small claustrophobic pods but adequate for a couple of nights if you bring EVERYTHING ! With you bedding, bed and cooking equipment . A local pub next door providing reasonably priced food and drink , with dogs welcome in the bar area. Noise from the railway wasn’t too off putting also the main A49 nearby.

The PODs do not have beds! It is an empty pod with nothing in. We turned up at around 8.30pm to a completely empty pod. We was offered bedding but we had no idea we were supposed to bring our own bed?? Not something we thought about checking! We ended up having to go home as all the local hotels were also fully booked. Wasted our bank holiday weekend and alot of petrol! All of the pictures we saw online had beds in. No pictures of empty pods at all...
