"Nice size rooms , some need refurbishing, would like a fridge. Clean but not spotless. Paid extra to have a room with opening doors as it was a hot night and no air conditioning. Disappointed that you have to pay £10 each! To go in the pool as it’s in the spar building ran separately, wasn’t special so we didn’t bother but it was one of the reasons we booked this hotel as it was on their hotel photos and list of amenities which is false advertising!"
"The facilities have nothing to say, the tableware and baking and cooking facilities are all available, the bathing and personal laundry facilities are very complete, like it!
Two-story small building, the space is bright, and the facilities have not encountered problems such as leaks reported by others.
Breakfast needs to be booked the first day and is not free.
The only downside is from wifi. Although we have portable WiFi and local phone card, sometimes we want to use the hotel WiFi. But the WiFi they provide cannot connect to the Internet, I reflected with the host (see it during breakfast), but he has no way to improve. I am sure he understands what is wrong."
"The staff greeted us with a warm and welcoming smile. The room was well laid out and very clean.
We ate in the restaurant on our first night and the food was excellent. The service was prompt, efficient and friendly. Margaret made us feel right at home.
The service in the bar was attentive and efficient. The barman was friendly and helpful.
The full English breakfast gave us a great start to the day. There was plenty of choice and the service was quick and friendly.
Parking on site was secure and there were plenty of spaces.
We would definitely recommend this hotel and look forward to returning in the near future."
"The hotel is just on the edge of the town of Bibury. You can go around the village in the morning. It is very comfortable and the surrounding scenery is as beautiful as an oil painting. The hotel breakfast is very good. You need to order hot meals yourself. We tried a little hard and couldn't understand what they said. We finally ordered a full English and a vegetarian. Milk, coffee, and bread are self-service. The room size is OK. The toilet is a bit old and not easy to flush. There is no place to eat around, so you can only solve it in the hotel, which needs to be booked in advance. We had a late lunch and had beef ramen in Bristol. We were not very hungry and did not eat at night. It is cold in the countryside at night. There is no heating, so it is a bit cold to sleep. But it is still a good experience to stay here for one night."
"We are a family of four and booked 2 junior suites and requested both on booking and during email correspondence prior to our arrival for double bed and twin bed configurations. On our arrival we were allocated rooms at opposite ends of the hotel, on different floors and with 2 double beds. Housekeeping had apparently gone home for the night despite arriving before 6pm and so this could not be corrected. The hotel had a beautiful open fireplace in the main bar which for some reason on a cold night in December wasn’t alight. We ate dinner in the hotel brasserie where a significant number of dishes on the menu were unavailable with no explanation from the staff when asked. At breakfast the following morning we were unable to order coffee as apparently this service is not available on weekends. Overall, despite a great location, this was a very disappointing stay."
"It was a great experience and stay. A bit far from the city center. But the room was spacious and I loved bathrooms. It was very comfortable. And top of that, the restaurant served amazing food! I highly recommend :)"
"Great rooms. Great staff. Lovely location.
Drinks at bar exhorbitant price and restaurant food good but well overpriced.
Had a nice time but no Christmas menu on 14th December."
Ssuperlee712Arrived at night, the store was very intimate waiting for us. Free parking is available, and parking spaces are relatively sufficient. The room we booked was very large, with three beds and two bathrooms, and the facilities were very complete. The breakfast at the store is very good, the amount given is very sufficient, and they are all freshly made English breakfasts, very authentic!
GGuest UserSuper cute boutique hotel in the Cotswolds that recently reopened/was remodeled. We wanted to extend our stay but unfortunately they were booked for the weekend. Would definitely return here to stay again. One thing that was unexpected was the size of the “king” bed which was smaller than a US king, it was more like a queen size.
AAnonymous UserThe room layout pays great attention to details. There are complete facilities such as teapots and ironing boards. The breakfast options are also good. In the lobby, it is also a good pleasure to sit down and order a glass of wine or a cup of tea. You can find many kinds of food when you go out to satisfy your hometown appetite.
