Espacio y Tiempo Hotel de Montaña

We came upon the quaint hotel after driving many hours through rain and were relieved to be greeted by Leo and his friendly staff. We settled into our beautifully appointed room with a comfortable bed, cozy linens and nice sized en-suite. We also had a lovely patio overlooking the gardens just coming into bloom for the season. We stayed for two nights celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary while we were there. We especially enjoyed the breakfast and our server Jośe who helped with tips for things to do in the area and with teaching us a little about the culture of the locals. We speak very little Spanish and we’re delighted that the staff was so warm and welcoming and willing to help despite our language barrier. Many of the staff speak multiple languages. We would have missed visiting Queulet had it not been for the hotel owner Connie helping us set up a reservation; which we were unaware that we needed. We are also vegetarians and they were so accommodating at the restaurant which serves incredible foods made from locally sourced goods. They filter water straight from the snowy mountains that surround them. It was just a delightful little dream and we can’t wait to return soon. We will surely think of all of the staff fondly and often. You don’t want to miss this place if you are in the area be sure to stop in.

Fantastic little hotel just on the Carretera Austral. Definitely worth staying here heading North or South. La Junta doesn’t have much to offer as a town but the hiking in the area is tremendous. The hotel is incredibly cosy lovely wood burning stove in the common area/bar / dining room. Good food, (maybe could do with a more adventurous wine list) and cool staff. Leo owner/ manager is a good guy. Rooms are fabulous. We loved it
