Right next to a Hungry Horse pub with a Wacky Warehouse. Bar and food onsite. Room was basic but had what we needed. Would have been better if the French doors could be opened to take the dog out, but at least they’re secure. Cheap and cheerful!

Very clean and in a great little locations! Would visit again!

It was a wonderful experience with Ibis and I’m so happy with the services they provided.

The room smells of rotting so does the elevator. We stayed here about six years ago and it was brilliant. Not sure why the place is running downhill hope the management team see this can at least get rid of the strong odour. The staff were very friendly though.

Comfortable room ,seems a bit dated .Tea and coffee in room but only for one cup of tea or coffee. Shower a bit slippery. Door on room didn’t shut properly but staff gave us a free breakfast for this which we were happy to have . Breakfast was ok cheap bread ect . But we didn’t pay for it .

Good condition, tasty breakfast, staff are nice and helpful!

Wow I really hope someone from head office sees this review and rewards the night team. Travel lodge has just taken over this hotel. We had been for a night out, arrived back at 1am. The 2 men on the night shift were absolutely phenomenal. They had had 2 days training. They went over and above to make us food. They were so friendly! These two men are an absolute credit to you. We didn’t get their names but were on nights on 25th October. Thank you for making our stay! Hotel just being refurbished. Only 20 rooms available. Lots of building work still going on. Would come again just for the friendliness of the staff.

Badly in need of renovation carpets definetly need replaced, when it's warm it's hard to sleep with window open as road noise was quite loud, especially ambulance sirens as I think there is a hospital close to it

This is in need of a massive refurbishment very old and out dated rooms chipped paint work on ever peice of old furniture ,was told on website we could check in between 11 and 1 turned up at 2.15 to be told no rooms were ready come back at 3 no apologies . Paid 25 pound for 2 breakfast plates they use are side plates outside furniture could do with being replaced sorry didn't take any photos just wanted to leave

Stayed here Friday and Saturday to attend a wedding nearby. Went to reception to state that I’d checked in online and was told this was pointless as it didn’t mean anything. The room was unclean, stains on carpet, mould around the window with dead flies in between glass, shower unbearably hot and when turning the temperature made no difference. Definitely needs an upgrade, budget hotel but should still have some cleaning standards. Didn’t pay extra for breakfast as thought it was high, had food next door at the hungry horse which was lovely. Beds are uncomfortable, pillows were dreadful and provided no support, woke up with aches and pains as unable to get comfortable. Overall not great for value.

I’ve stayed here previously and read recent reviews and all I will say is “you get what you pay for” and even occasionally a pleasant surprise. Payed less than other budget hotels and only complaint was quality of pillows and only two per room, although I probably would have been given more had I asked. Room 302 had no defects, was spotlessly clean, and showing no great signs of wear and tear. Check in was pleasant. Have not been charged for car parking. Cannot comment in food as we didn’t eat any (late arrival and I don’t really do breakfast) AND yes I would stay again
