10 minutes walk to Sakura Machi Kumamoto and 20 minutes walk to Kumamoto Castle. 5 minutes to 7-Eleven. It is a convenient location for those who are not bitter to walk. The first parking lot is flat next door, and the second and third are small but nearby. The car keys will be left at the front desk. The room key is only one that hangs on an old-fashioned stick. It was inconvenient to leave it every time I went out. The twin room was not so large, but the windows open are appreciated by smokers. There was no air purifier and there was no guide to renting. There is a refrigerator, but there is no safety box. The closet has no door, so I hung it on the bathroom so that it wouldn't smell. The bath / toilet room is small, but there is an artificial hot spring bath on the 3rd floor (16: 00-25: 00, 6:00-9:00). The dressing room was reasonably large and was a locker with a key. There are 5 washrooms, and the bathtub is horizontal and not so large. There is no sauna. Nightwear is a cover type, only rooms and large communal baths are available, and not available in restaurants. There was a vending machine on the 3rd floor, and there were beer, shochu, cup noodles and knobs. There is also a microwave oven and ice machine in this space. The coin laundry is a separate room for men and women, the washing machine costs 300 yen up to 7Kg and the dryer costs 100 yen for 30 minutes. Breakfast is a buffet at the restaurant on the 9th floor of the top floor (6:30-10:00). You can enjoy local dishes such as spicy lotus root and horse meat curry. There are also a variety of normal dishes. It costs 1,100 yen when paying separately, but considering the content, I felt that it was exceptionally cheap at this time. For dinner, I booked an izakaya ”Shokusai Shuan”, which can be reached in 5 minutes on foot. Spicy lotus root, horse sashimi, Kumamoto sake, Kumamoto shochu, etc. were all delicious. There are only 4 tables and it seems to be popular with local customers, so it is better to make a reservation.
The location is very good, you can walk to nearby attractions.
The room is also quite big.
The only bad thing was that one morning the fire alarm went off and no staff could be found to ask what happened. The fire alarm bell rang for a long time before the announcement came, and it was only in Japanese. The final guess is that it was a false alarm.
Stayed on May 6. I was lost with the location pattern, the new town, but I chose this because it was a little off the downtown area, close to the airport bus stop. As a request, I asked for a room with a good view outside the window to leave Asian group guests by phone. As a result, there was no group guest who was worried, and it was good to be assigned a room (1202) without the southeast side disorder. But many people point out that there are 1 elevators and the breakfast venue is very small I think it's miserable on a crowded day. Breakfast is small, although it is a service, and bread is only bread. The room is not very different from other Toyoko Inn. I think the location is good for transportation, food and drink and sightseeing.

The whole room is Japanese-style, clean and quiet, suitable for those who want to experience a Japanese-style homestay. The hotel is very convenient to both the jr station and the tram station, and there is no problem in traveling. In addition, the boss and the proprietress are very enthusiastic. We bought lotus root and would not eat it and wanted to ask the boss. The boss directly helped us cook. The breakfast here is also top-notch, and it was made by the boss himself. Recommend everyone to book a room with breakfast. All in all a very pleasant experience.
There is a dedicated car park and the breakfast is good. The restaurant is equivalent to an event room with free homemade shaved ice. Some books can be browsed, and there are three automatic massage chairs for relaxing. The bus stop is at the entrance, and there is a direct bus to the airport opposite the station. Both the airport and Mount Aso are particularly convenient. The tram is also in front of the hotel. Behind the hotel is a wetland park and river at the water outlet. The water is clear.
It's been about 10 years since I came here. Three years ago, the guest rooms in the main building were completely renovated and turned into detached guest rooms with an exterior entrance, which together with the six existing detached buildings, evolved into a detached inn. The magnificent entrance that had been in use for a long time now serves as an entrance exclusively for outpatient bathers, and a reception desk exclusively for hotel guests is now located in the connecting passageway that separates from the main building. That's fine, but the location of the front desk is difficult to find, there's no staff on site, and you can enter the guest rooms without passing through the front desk, so I felt there were some security issues. I used the detached area again this time. After all, the bathroom here is unique and interesting. What's more, it's a smooth hot spring with a sulfur smell and plenty of hot water. You can come in as long as you want. When I first came to the public bath, there was an open-air bath, but unfortunately it is now completely covered with a roof. Meals are served at the semi-private dining room in the main building. Previously, the main weakness of this inn was its food, but when I came back for the first time in a while, I was very surprised at how much it had evolved. To be honest, I didn't have high expectations for the meal, but this time the quality of the food had improved considerably and it was incomparably more delicious than before. The dishes using spiny lobster and Ajisai beef from Kumamoto Prefecture were very good. However, there seems to be still room for improvement in hotpot and chawanmushi. Since it's a hot spring in Kumamoto, I'd like to try horse sashimi if possible. Although I feel that we have made considerable progress with this major transformation, there is still room for improvement in terms of front desk response. However, 21,000 yen per person on the day before a holiday for a luxury course meal of spiny lobster and Ajisai beef in a detached room for two people is really affordable. I would like you to aim for further improvement.

Outstanding
TTammy MakThe hotel is located right at one of the very busy shopping streets of Kumamoto with many shops and restaurants. We had had very pleasant stroll there and had dinner and snack.
The room is very spacious and clean. The two matt glass windows cannot be opened per se. One has light and the other very little.
The soap provided is of better quality than that of the other hotels I have stayed in. The dispenser says Kao.
HHoi ShanThe hotel was designed in the 1980s, with a total height of 6 floors. It is opposite Kumamoto Castle. It takes about 15 minutes to walk to the main street restaurants. The breakfast is average and there are not many choices. It mainly focuses on Japanese food. There are Cantonese-speaking staff at the reception desk, which makes communication easy. There are toothbrushes in the lobby. , you can pick up the facial cleansing set by yourself, and parking is 1,000 yen per day, which is convenient for self-driving.
GGuest UserThe lobby is on the 3 floor. Breakfast venue and welcome drink are on the 3 floor. Yukata is in the lobby and bring it yourself. Slippers and yukata are prohibited in the common area of the building. After taking a bath, I changed into indoor clothes, wanted to drink coffee slowly, and forgot to bring a yukata (because I have a lot of baggage when I enter the museum). I want to warm dinner in the microwave. Etc. I often want to go to the lobby. But I don't want to wear shoes. Because it's for going out. If it is a type of this hotel, I don't think there is a possibility that outsiders will enter the breakfast venue. I don't know why slippers are prohibited. I can't relax when I wear shoes. It's attractive to have free coffee, but I can't go for a drink. I'm dissatisfied. I want you to make slippers a little more sandal-like and allow them to wear. It seems to be a slipper that can be washed, but halfway. If possible, I would be happy if there was a large communal bath. Is it because it is Japanese?
Nnonono5I stayed at the introduction of an acquaintance. It is very clean because it has just opened this summer. Security is also safe because the elevator does not move without the key to the room. Unfortunately, I couldn't see Kumamoto Jo castle from my room, but there was a table and chair on the rooftop, and I was able to enjoy Kumamoto Jo castle at night. The room is equipped with a lot of outlets and USB, and it is not troubled by charging mobile phones. The clothes in the building were unique. Laughs. It became a memory of the trip. The front desk was also kind.
GGuest UserThe good thing is that the transportation is convenient. Buses to/from the station stop right in front, and a tram stop a short distance away. It's far from the downtown area, but it's not impossible to walk. It is even more convenient if you use the bus streetcar. There are few shops around, but there is a good Japanese restaurant within walking distance. The room is small and it is difficult to arrange luggage. Just scaffolding around the bed. The desk can be folded (so narrow) that the bag can be opened in a small hallway space leading to the entrance. The public bath is normal for this type of business hotel, more comfortable than a unit bath, but not as good as a hot spring inn. The parking lot is a three-dimensional building. It is OK without getting wet even in the rain. There is no manager at night, so you can't get in and out of your car or take your luggage in and out. If you are having trouble with that, you will be introduced to a nearby parking lot.
GGuest UserWe stayed on the tour. The exterior is very clean after renewal. The interior is also around the restaurant and lobby on the first floor, and the front desk is clean. Especially the restaurant was not only clean, but the breakfast was very delicious with local dishes lined up. However, the rooms seemed to be under renewal construction, and the passenger elevator was dedicated to one construction. The guest room floor is that of a business hotel with a Showa atmosphere from the corridor. The room smells of an old hotel, from carpet to wallpaper, and you can feel the remnants of the time when you could smoke. You can see from the scratch of the burnt chair that it was a smoking room. The bathroom was the same as before, and due to the trap of drainage under the floor, there was a step of about 20 cm, and it was difficult to climb and down. And it's very narrow. The view from the room is that there is a highway on the river side, but the space is open On the other side, you can only see the closed hospitals and emergency stairs in old buildings. I think the river side is good if you stay. Anyway, it is best after the renewal is completed. The view does not change.
HHala leunghala48Shopping, eating and riding are very convenient. There are railways and buses a few minutes outside the door. When you leave, there is a bus outside the door to reach the airport. The sound insulation is very poor, and you will hear the footsteps upstairs when you live downstairs. The toilet smells and the toilet is seeping.
GGuest UserThe room is very small, very small. It’s the emperor’s birthday and even booked for more than 4,000 yuan. It’s really not cost-effective. The parking lot requires an additional fee and is not free. It’s very close to the shopping area and the Tsuruya Department Store. Advantages, breakfast is simple and not many styles.
LLiuIt can sleep three people in bunk beds and is suitable for backpackers or small families. It has all the necessary equipment. The service at the front desk is good and the necessary supplies can be borrowed. The parking lot is large and suitable for self-driving travelers.
KkzkazI parked in the neighborhood with no parking lot and went to check in. I didn't ask for details because I was asked to use the parking lot, but I think the parking lot can be used at another price even in the plan without parking. i was.

Kumamon Square
MMary_Yao88Two performances a day, 2:00—2:30 in the afternoon, very suitable for parent-child activities, of course, adults are also very happy, the bear minister is cute, lively and interactive. Not bad 👍
Suizenji Jojuen Garden
开开心就好灬Suizenji Jojuen Garden is also a place you can visit in Kumamoto. It takes 10 to 20 minutes by car from the city. The whole garden is quite designed. There is a very beautiful lake in the middle with many fat fish. If you like history, you can spend more time there. Normally, one and a half hours is enough to finish the tour. If the weather is good, it is still quite photogenic.
Shimotori Shopping Arcade
TTodemmyThe hotel we stayed in was very close to the pedestrian street. The pedestrian street is covered, so it's perfect for shopping in the winter. There are a wide variety of shops in the pedestrian street, as well as many gourmet restaurants. You can spend a whole day shopping here.
Sakuranobaba Josaien
开开心就好灬Next to Kumamoto Castle is Sakura-no-Baba. It's not a big place, it's actually a small market with food and shopping. There are quite a lot of people. You can find a place to sit down and eat something. If you don't eat, you can basically finish the shopping in 20 minutes. It's not a must-visit place, but because it's right next to Kumamoto Castle, it's nice to stop by and take a look.
Kumamoto City Hall, Large Hall Floor
FFriend FlyTake the shinkansen train to kumamoto to visit the castle. Unfortunately, I didn't go inside.
Kumamoto Prefectural Museum of Art
跟跟着暴暴去旅行A super cute art gallery, many artists will stay in their exhibitions, I met a cute grandfather and I talked about his works, many niche Japanese artists work is really great! And the exhibition here is basically free to play Kumamoto City, you can walk over and see it very close
