The location is very good, the surrounding area is very lively, there are convenient supermarkets, many bars, good hotel equipment, and a good swimming pool. The room is clean and refreshing, with a jacuzzi. I will choose to stay here again next time I have the opportunity.

Excellent accommodation, beautiful environment and rooms, a paddling pool that the children love, friendly and considerate service from the staff, and a very high-level breakfast. Highly recommended to everyone.

We recently spent two nights at U inchantree. The property has a beautiful location right on the river Kwai with beautiful views and thoughtfully appointed grounds. The restaurant was excellent for Breakfast, lunch and dinner. The service was excellent and the food presentation was fantastic. The rooms were clean and lovely. We also utilized their massage services and it was top notch! What really makes U Inchantree stand out is the friendly employees and excellent service. Gigi and Big went out of their way to make our stay memorable. They were fantastic and every employee was courteous and friendly. I would definitely recommend U Inchantree for your next stay in Kanchanaburi!

The breakfast is exquisite and delicious, the log feels good in the room, the green environment is good, the riverside restaurant has a good view, the green trees become cute, the scenery is good, the blue sky, green water and the air are good, the service is good, the hotel location is good, not many tourists are quiet and good , The elderly and children say yes.

This heart-crafted hotel is a true artistic labour of love... Artistic in broad strokes of a homely courtyard design, and cozy rooms warmed by rich earth tones; artistic in the many details of paintings, weavings, and ornaments decorating every wall and nook; artistic in the drawing pads and pencils which are put in different corners of the hotel for guests to try their hand; and artistic in a broad palette of inspiring efforts to support local communities and the environment; including selling paintings by ethnic Karen youth. I also enjoyed wonderful conversations with the owners, spanning art, history, spirituality, belonging and conservation. Highly recommended for families, amateur and professional artists looking for residences and retreats; or just finding somewhere to finally get that book chapter or report written (me) !! It used to be a very good hydrophilic hotel, right by the river, at a reasonable price. The first time I lived was 9 years ago, and it was very quiet at night.  But this time I checked in, the music of the merchants across the river was huge. It didn't stop at 12 o'clock in the middle of the night. It came again at 6 o'clock in the morning. It was fried and I couldn't sleep at all. Reflected with the front desk, but the hotel couldn't help it.

Located about 7km north west of the town, the staff are all friendly and helpful. I have rented a small motorbike to get me around, a necessity which means I can go where and when I desire, small money so no problem! Have been to the cemeteries and museums to pay my respect to ALL who suffered during those darkest of days. I have also been to the original wooden bridge constructed by the POW’s and others, it is located in the JEATH museum adjacent to the bridge that is in use these days. Entry cost 50 Baht, and there is so much to see that I took two hours inside, would recommend a morning visit so you can view the many items and read the facts behind them at your leisure. The museum has been set up by a local man and is most definitely worth visiting. 100% value for money! I mentioned to a Thai man inside that we were so grateful that people around the area did try to ease the suffering of the POWs, risking their own necks by doing so. My mother was an innocent child at 7 years old, alongside her mother and little sister she waved goodbye to her father, John Francis Egan, he said he was going to work for a while!! After working in Turkey, his ANZAC unit were moved on to Italy, to partake in one of the harder campaigns of the war. His life was taken by a German bullet at Mount Casino, alongside many many others! Please understand how one can feel. I try my hardest to be non judgmental and tolerant these days. I have not walked in your shoes and do not know your story. “Footsteps in the sand” comes to mind at this moment. I have PTSD myself, and I knew coming to Kanchanaburi may get emotional, and it has. Now my mother is 88 years young, and became a great grandma for the second time two weeks ago. Apologies if it got too personal, started as a review of the Phoo Tawan hotel. Words are insufficient, our gratitude to all who risked their own lives and those that paid the ultimate price. Life is precious, please enjoy the moment. The room is quite big, the security is also good, the parking is very convenient, and there is no parking fee. But the disadvantage is that the location is a bit off, there are only small stalls around you can eat, and there are not many.

Stayed in Nov 2022 in a standard room. Pros: -bed is medium firmness but comfortable -pillow is fine too -2 free glass bottles of water -breakfast not bad with ham, eggs, rice porridge, noodles, rice, salad, bread and toast, sausage, fruits and pancake. the lady here while english not perfect helped me navigate some food intolerances i had, so my thanks to her. -swimming pool looked nice and the gardens were relaxing. -hand soap bar provided. -1 toilet paper roll and shower gel and shampoo is provided. -shower is nice once it gets started. -towels for shower and towels for swimming pool is provided in the room. -room safe, kettle, tea and coffee and a small fridge is provided. -in a good location with some food pretty much across the road and 7-11 further down the road. -staff are friendly and courteous -wifi is good -overall rating 4.25/5 would recommend Cons: -no tissue box provided -bathroom sink is low -the hot water of the shower takes a while to stabilise.

The environment is quiet and only 900 meters away from the Bridge on the River Kwai, making it an excellent place to relax. The tranquil environment here gives us a rare opportunity to relax. An ideal place to escape the hustle and bustle and enjoy a moment of tranquility.
