We had a lovely little stay at The Grosvenor Hotel, rooms are clean & tidy, fridge was a real added bonus plus the car park was a huge plus, it is only a few minutes walk to the seafront, breakfast was superb & the staff were really lovely & friendly, a special mention to Ann who really went above & beyond for us on the Sunday morning! You are a gem! Thank you so much x Highly recommend & will definitely visit again, Many Thanks.

We booked 4 rooms at this hotel in APRIL for a family reunion in September, bank details given over the phone. By mid September, we were a little worried that we had not received any confirmation for the booking. Made a phone call to the hotel, and were given devastating news that we had no rooms booked as the hotel was undergoing refurbishment! We had been given no notice of this, no email, no phonecall. We had family flying over from Ireland with nowhere to stay, we had nowhere to stay travelling from Yorkshire. No apologies, no explanation from management, except for a very rude text reply! Disgusting treatment, so disappointing, will not be booking to stay here again. We stayed the year before with no problem, except for a language problem on phonecalls and checking in. Very annoyed customer.

The room did not match the photos on their website! It was tiny and in the eaves so the bathroom shower was also very small and claustrophobic. The walls were peeling..the wardrobe was a whole in the wall with a pile but no hangers which we had to ask for. There was a fridge dumped in the other whole and it tilted back where it was sitting on the skirting board. Our room was freezing the first night as we found out the next day it hasn’t been out on. The water in the sink was so slow that you couldn’t even rinse your toothbrush. The parking was horrendous…I had to leave a scribbled note on reception to notify people I had to block them in and to knock on room 6 if they needed us to move our car. The only saving Grace for our stay was Anne who was so accommodating and friendly. I can’t eat fried food and when I mentioned this to the receptionist on arrival she said no one had ever said that before. I asked for porridge and she said we don’t do that but would ask as they do it for her. Anne was kind enough to do me porridge every day and even bought me some honey to give it some flavour. My husband said the breakfast he had was lovely so that’s why I gave it one star. Had it not been for Anne you would have got no stars. Would not stay here again.

This is a hostel now not a b&b. They are taking in homeless people who need temporary accommodation. These people are smoking outside all day walking around rooms in pyjamas. My stay here was awful. I hated it. the room Was dirty and unclean and the staff were rude. The people staying here that are homeless are scary and scared my children. They shout argue all day and wander around outside all day drinking and smoking. The owner was not here and didn’t make their presence known. Avoid at all costs go to premier inn or travelodge. This is a HOSTEL. Do not stay here if you want a nice break you won’t get it here.

Found this hotel and got what I thought was a reasonable deal, as the next best thing would have been a caravan, however wish I booked that, the customer service was terrible and unhelpful, wish I’d taken the caravan. Will NEVER rebook.

Nice friendly welcome but check in late as 2pm. Room quite small but on for a weekend. Shower amazing and bed sooooo comfy. Needs a full length mirror in the room for women. Great location Breakfast good but could of been hotter but very poor quality sausages Overall a nice stay but next time would like to see what this hotel compares to others

The first impressions that we got was that it was very clean n pleasent but during our stay the cracks started to appear The room was clean n staff were pleasent n friendly on the whole. When booking on line we pre booked a double room with 2 beds but when we arrived we were informed that we hadn't n they had split the beds for us. Also we had pre-book a gluten free options menu for breakfast. On arrival we were asked what we wanted for breakfast and I double checked that the bread would be gluten free and got reassured that because he has put gluten free it would be gluten free bread available for me. We got downstairs in the morning only to be told by kitchen staff that they had no gluten free bread because noone had informed them before the morning also they had no gluten free options for cereal or a separate toaster for gluten free toast as some people cannot have any cross contamination n it could cause alot of illness. Also the kitchen staff asked what I would be able to have for my cooked breakfast I declined sausages and hash browns because I didn't know what the ingredients were there was no offers of going to double check for me. By by looking at the sausage that dad had it would have contained more cereals etc than meat n dad said that it was the worse sausage that he has ever been served that he left it which is unlike dad cos he likes sausages. They did get gluten free bread for the next morning but no offers to toast it separately for us maybe the management and staff need to do training for food allergies and intolerance to gain a better understanding and remember to look at ingredients. The Saturday morning I used the shower over bath and could not turn the tap off even dad couldn't turn it off completely. Despite cleaners coming in the tap continued to run for over 24hours. The Sunday morning we noticed water running across the bathroom floor and when looking we realized that condensation was running down the walls also the bedroom window. When we spoke to a manager she seemed very defensive n I said that I wanted to show her the bathroom she came up reluctantly n all she said was that it wasn't like it n oh it's waisting water and that the cleaners would have sorted it but it was like it before the cleaners came in on Saturday and still the same when we came back in the evening so obviously they didn't sort it or other wise it wouldn't still be running. We had to leave early due to illness n there was no compassion when being told hope you feel better or any offers with bags as it was clearly obviously that dad was very breathless

The reception staff was very friendly . Room was ok but the most important thing is a comfortable nights sleep and it certainly wasn’t, We asked for a Double and got two knacked single beds pushed together made up with dirty sheets stains and grubby marks inside all crumbled up too , we checked in and spent the day out came back to our rooms after 10!pm there was any staff on site to help us so, I tried calling them on the landline they were rude and Denied that it could be possible and didn’t try to help resolve the issue , we did not hang around for Breakfast because our stay was so uncomfortable plus others staying in the hotel were very noisy overnight. We would not recommend this hotel.
