The food was absolutely terrible and the service from the staff no better. We ordered food which came out cold, told the waitress about it and she was so rude about it. The food came again and it was barely warm and the chips had obviously been reheated, you couldn't eat them. Bar was very dirty and lots of food on floor and table dirty too. Waitress was very rude as was Manager.

Husband had chicken curry, I had cajun chicken pitta, salad with fries. Curry very nice but cajun chicken very over spiced so I ate pitta bread and salad and a little chicken, fries very nice. Staff so lovely and they were very efficient, organised and friendly.

Had Sunday Dinner here around 15 of us, got great service, lovely food very friendly staff and everyone really enjoyed it. They gave us a room at the back to ourselves and we all had carvery lunch, kids had plenty of space to play around without annoying other customers. Highly recommended.

Recently enjoyed a long term stay at the Carraig Hotel , can’t fault anything , food was first class , always a smile from Paul and his staff , whether that was first thing in the Morning at Breakfast or enjoying a drink at night in the bar , well worth a visit for business or pleasure

Following my father's passing in early September and cremation at the Island Crematorium in Cork, my family and friends of the family gathered to celebrate his life at The Carraig Hotel. We lived 36 years of our lives in a pub across the road from that hotel on the Main Street and in recent years my family who live in the town have had many great meals and drinks at The Carriage which is a popular hub. The meal following my father's service was excellent. They catered for almost 100 people, 4 courses, delicious food and rounds of seconds for anyone who wanted more. My partner and I are vegetarians and had the vegetarian curry which was creamy, loaded with delicious vegetables and very tasty and seasoned. The staff were exemplary and so kind and courteous to everyone. The hotel also set up a display table with photos of my father and wedding photos of my late mother and father. I was very impressed with the hotel and will definitely use it as a place to meet with those from the town I want to catch up with when I'm back there. I live in a capital city and the food and service at The Carraig would match or exceed many places in any city. I would definitely recommend this place.

This is a warm, friendly, welcoming hotel. Great bar food. Spacious rooms. Lovely, friendly staff. A home away from home. Always a relaxing, happy stay. If you like a very early night and want peace for that, ask for a quieter room. This is a town-centre hotel that serves the community as well as guests, so the bar and function rooms are naturally busy at weekends, and some rooms are quieter than others. Paul and staff are great, so do give them a call before you check in if you want a quieter room.

What a little gem this hotel turned out to be. Staff friendly and went out of they way to assist us during our stay. The food (breakfast and evening meal) were really good - we stayed two nights. The menu offered an extensive selection and portions were extremely generous. The rooms were clean, tidy and well equipped. There isn't a lift and you need to be able to manage the stairs to access the rooms but help is on hand if you can't carry your case to the room. A public car park is located on the opposite side of the road and cost just 3 euros on exit no matter the length of your stay.
