Courtyard Atlanta Kennesaw

We were extremely happy with our stay. We were passing through on our way to Florida. The hotel is a fantastic spot to rest after a long drive. Rooms were large and very clean. The beds were comfortable and there is a ton of stuff to do around the area. We were very happy with the receptionist who was extremely friendly, knowledgeable about the area, and checked us in very quickly. We will 100% stay again.

The motel was good. The manger is friendly and helpful. The housekeeping is good with their cleanliness. It is safe to stay since their will be a security guy at night. The front desk are helpful and available all the time. The location is good to the travelers.

So it doesn't take much for me to be satisfied with a hotel because I typically travel alone and don't stay in the room very much. I have now stayed here twice and the first time was ok for a one night stay. The second time, I stayed for two nights this past weekend. I typically use the stairs to go up and down as opposed to the elevator. When I went down the first time, there was a large pile of human feces on the ground level. Only reason I noticed it was because of the crazy stench that stung my nostrils as I neared the ground floor. Whatever, crap happens I guess and someone cleaned it up later because it wasn't there the next time I came through. Housekeeping must not have cleaned the bathroom before I checked in because there was still hair stuck in the sink. Overall, I'm not going to ding them for these two things that bad like most people do on these reviews. The room (aside from the bathroom sink) was clean and the bed was comfy. The staff is always friendly and it's just about a mile walk to the Battery area with Truist Park. There is on-site parking for a small fee. This won't be my go-to in the future unless their price is just far below other rooms in the area.

Few staff members are exceptional (Mr. Justin B, Mr. Robert, the cafe/bistro woman). Unfortunately, there are rooms that are in need of updating or malodorous (smell of dampness or possible past water damage) or other issues, such as mattresses that cave in, mid section; the client service can be quite antagonistic and defensive if deficits are pointed out. For example, I received moldy food during my last stay and the front desk manager was irritated that I pointed this out -instead of appreciative because this poses a health concern. Also, the battery to their lock needed replacement, and so I needed to have Mrs. D allow me in and out of the room when necessary, until they could switch me or replace the battery the next day. Apparently, I was the fifth person with such problem during this last stay, but the same front desk male manager (Mr. R) who got irritated about the food complaint, attempted to argue with me that I had probably placed my keys near my phone. I don't think this should be listed as a Marriott property, in my opinion. It falls way below expectations.

All staff was wonderful—except for the person at the hotel I originally spoke to by phone who was rude, disrespectful and condescending. I discussed this with the general manager in person but got no feedback. The Hyatt I stayed in last time includes breakfast. Something to consider for your hotel. The bed was extremely comfortable. The room very clean. And I loved the water with lemon in the lobby.

We took our 9 year old to his first two Braves games and stayed at this hotel for 4 days. We had never stayed here before, but a relative recommended the hotel. The room was clean and smelled nice. I always check the sheets and pillows. The only negative was the white thin coverlet looked pretty on top, but was covered in paint smudges or marker of some kind on the underside. We just removed it and set it to the side. The staff, for the most part, was incredibly nice and very helpful. Crystal and Marianna at the front desk were absolutely wonderful! Warm smiles and very helpful with any questions. The breakfast each day was great! The woman serving was all smiles and kept everything well stocked. Our housekeeper was super friendly and traded our towels and washcloths as well as replenished our toilet tissue and in room coffee. The only major negative to our trip was the night counter employee, Josh. He had a terrible attitude and was disrespectful and rude. Not just to us. We observed his bad attitude on our second night and experienced it ourselves on our last night. Out of respect for my son, I waited until he was comfortably back in our room before I returned to the lobby to get Josh’s name. We had been very nice and friendly when we originally entered the lobby and even asked Josh several questions about his day. He ignored us completely, and we were standing directly in front of him at the counter trying to pay for some drinks. When he returned our change he set it down behind the plastic barrier and then ignored us. We couldn’t get hold of it and asked if he could push it forward. He continued to ignore us as if we weren’t there. Keep in mind we were literally standing across the counter from him at the check in desk. My wife ended up pushing on the plastic barrier until it touched the register so she could slide the dollars out. The entire time he ignored us, even as we were asking him to please slide the money under the plastic. In an effort to avoid a conflict in front of my son we simply said, “Well then. I guess have a good night.” He still didn’t respond…. When I returned to the lobby, his excuse was, “..I have had to deal with these baseball people all week.” I was wearing a Braves shirt…. There was more with Josh, but I have made my point. So, to wrap it up, Josh is a terrible front desk representative for this hotel and needs to be moved where he has no guest contact. The rest of the staff and management are great!
