The hotel is well situated and often offers reasonable prices, compared to others in the locale. However, based on my visit, I cannot recommend it, the room was grimy, as was the kettle and the back of the TV was extremely dusty. The worst aspect was that neither soap dispenser worked and this was not fixed after I reported it.

We had a lovely stay at this travelodge. We would stay there again. It was clean, staff were pleasant. Breakfast was good. What more do you need on a break!

Stayed for a weekend and was quite impressed. Ok, outside looks tired and could do with some TLC, but the staff make up for the first impression you get when arriving Prepaid for breakfast both mornings and gotta say, it was delicious. Food hot, nicely cooked and tasty. Good choice of cold bits, and served with a smile and a singing waitress. Will be back, thank you Paul and Jo

Normal travelodge things: room too hot, not 100% clean. Staff friendly generally decent looking building overall. But the hot breakfast items were disgusting. Don’t pay the £10 for the breakfast. Get to a cafe instead. I’ve 25% of what I paid for for inedible food. Not happy at all as I had a full day of hiking to do and we had to start late because we had to find somewhere to have a decent breakfast.

We stayed here for 2 nights in room 110 Bed was uncomfy bottom sheet was to small for matress and bedding wasn't fit for purpose. 2nd night my partner slept on the floor. Receptionist was only there to check us in and we couldn't find one to complain to. Bathroom had hairs in bath tub. carpet and celing were heavily stained.

We used Cockermouth Travelodge as a convenient base for a short walking break. The hotel was excellent value, quiet spacious room, super comfy bed, good shower, everything we needed. Nice to be able to walk into Cockermouth itself for some good food and beer in the evenings. All the staff, on reception and in the bar were very helpful and friendly and made us feel very welcome. The pizza in the bar was delicious and the sticky toffee pudding was enormous and very satisfying after a day of fresh air and exercise. We will definitely come again and recommend it.

Staff are extra nice - but rooms lack. Only had one working bulb in the room - no towels in the room at all - and hairs in the bath. I know its a budget hotel - but these are basics not luxuries.

We stayed for one night whilst visiting Cockermouth. Good location as only a short walk into Cockermouth. The room was clean and good for the price. Varied selection for breakfast
