Royal Alhambra Palace

We have visited the Royal Alhambra Palace Hotel for the sixth time in a row and were again very satisfied. We are very happy to return to this hotel. It has been confirmed once again that the hotel is at a professional level, both in terms of service, maintenance and overall level, including the entertainment team. Thank you again.

We are a family of two adults and 3 children aged 16 and 13 we booked 2 standard rooms we travel around three times a year and have stayed in Turkey around 10 times and also in the sister hotel Royal Seginus this was a last minute trip but went with this hotel as loved the Royal Seginus. Drinks : very low standard they ran out of ingredients for cocktails most of time , hot bottles of water left on bar no cold ones , coffee was bad , wines where disgusting, when cocktails were made they were horrible . The glasses are always dirty and smell be careful as well as they would put the wrong drinks in for the kids as well. Food: main buffet we only ate 2 times at dinner 1 time for breakfast and once for lunch we paid to eat out most nights. Food was cold very low standards the pasta and the pizza was even bad however the chips were the best thing they severed. The beach restaurant open for lunch, avoid, we tried once and was ill. The snack area during the day very disappointing as food is left out self service so was cold and areas where dirty ,the two ladies making Turkish pancakes they where the best thing there . Staff and service: the ruddiest I have come across in all the hotels I stayed in , I would also be careful if you have young girls as this is the first time I felt uncomfortable and also my daughter . Make sure you bring lots of money to tip as you will not get served or help you unless you tip that also means to get a table in the main buffet. We reported our issues a few times nothing was done we was also told that out of the 300 rooms we are the only one with issues. Grounds: mostly well kept and the pool areas are lovely , there was no air con working in any parts of the hotel so this made it very hot areas. Rooms: The beds are ok and bathrooms clean but dated the shower is in a bath and filled every time we showered to our knees so was not pleasant. Front door was broken so had to sleep with furniture pushed up to door was told it was fixed was taking a shower when staff walked straight into my room even though I had the inside lock on . Please be aware even with your internal lock on someone outside can use a room key and enter. Air con broken the whole holiday and mini bar never restocked. Entertainment : No music at the piano bar , the hotel doesn’t have much going on we watched 10 minutes of a show but wasn’t good . We have two active boys aged 16 who normally take part in everything however the animation team where not really chatty or bothered to entertain you.

Lovely hotel, but, a few tweaks needed...a microwave that you can plug in as food Luke warm, trained barstaff as cocktails worst ever tasted, white wine should be served cold, air-conditioning not really cold.lovely bathrooms,beds nice, but, to charge 80£ to reserve your room for a late flight, a bit extortionate! But all in all a nice stay.

The hotel interior is amazing.The beach is with sand which is a big advantage for this area. The staff is so cheerful and respectful.A girl named Bekliz that works in lobby area impressed me with her 24/7 disposable smile and the behavior of her ,it seems like she does her job with love.

I am currently at this hotel and believe it is only right to write a review asap. First of all being British the buffet is not tailored towards us at all. No bacon, sausages, normal toast, burgers, pizza, regular cornflakes etc. As someone who is from england me and my daughter were mimicked about the way we held our knife and fork while eating by a guest. When asking a woman about what a la carte restaurants they offered she then suggested that it was only for vips. Inferring we wasn’t that. The a la carte restaurant are assigned to certain days and they insist that there should be a minimum of 10 people to have booked before they open it. Therefore we did not see one a la carte restaurant open during 1 week stay. They also add a service charge when it’s ‘ all inclusive ‘. The entertainment is 90% spoken in other languages which made me and my daughter feel very singled out. When the entertainment has pool parties the music is overly loud to a point the whole resort is able to hear. Although this isn’t an issue for me personally i do believe that it wouldn’t be up to everyone’s liking. Me and my daughter always make an effort to make people feel comfortable although there are full grown adults who will stare at you to a point where you feel the need to smile and they will completely blank you and make you feel uncomfortable. This is a regular interaction and is what 90% of the guests do. You will say hi to people and get no response, people will walk infront of you and make you wait for them to move knowingly. The indoor pool is absolutely freezing even after coming out of the boiling weather. The tiles are also very slippery and i believe could injure someone. At the patisserie, the people who were infront of us were getting served and then another staff came out and decided she was going to serve the back of the queue and not us when we should of been next to be served until we said we had been here one of the longest and then we got served. Obviously there was an underlying reason why she went to the back of the queue and tried to serve anyone but us. It again made me and my daughter feel very isolated and uncomfortable. We booked this with tui and didn’t get the information that there’s actually a shisha bar on site. We understand that everyone is welcome to their preferences however had we known that we would’ve never booked this hotel in the first place. All zones near the kids part have no smoking signs. I watched many people smoking right next to the no smoking sign near where the children go in the pools and play. On three occasions we also had our room left unlocked by staff. As we know this we reported it to the guest relations manager where the next day it was then left unlocked again. The setting and aesthetic may be 5 star but the unwelcoming feel this place has isn’t even worth one star. Under no circumstances would i return even if it was a free holiday. We arrived at the hotel with my family, the hotel is stunning and the rooms were lovely, clean and spacious. We went to the beach everyday due to the amount of guests smoking around the pool area. The beach was clean, beautiful and there were lots of sun beds. The hotel didn’t have many English staying there and didn’t cater for the English. The food was absolutely disgusting and wasn’t edible with lots of food undercooked, chicken was frozen inside and raw. My family was very poorly from the food we had diarrhoea, bloating, headaches and we all had to take medication. Food was reported to one of the catering staff. Meal times was like feeding time at the zoo and a stampede of animals, guests were very rude cutting in the que . There were no tables unless you went just before they opened so I can get a table, no cutlery on tables either. The al lecarte restaurants were always closed and only opened up if they had bookings of eight people at £20 euros a head. The staff were mainly nice and tried their best but seemed over worked. This is my first holiday to turkey and I will not be visiting again .
