Lakeshore Inn

For us it was another trip to Cold Lake staying at our favorite B&B The Lakeshore Inn! John and Teresa are the perfect hosts making sure all of our needs were met. The breakfast waffles were fantastic as are all their breakfasts. Highly recommended!!.

I stayed in cold lake for a business meeting recently and had a very disappointing experience here. Although the room was nice, upon check-in, my friend and I were asked to pay a $400 damage deposit, which was never mentioned on their website, during the booking process or even in their policy. It felt like we were being treated differently, especially since we watched other guests check out by simply dropping off their keys, with no inspection or deposit involved. I've since looked online and found a guest mention of a $250 deposit, not $400.. which only adds to the confusion and lack of consistency. We are also indigenous - It's extremely disappointing to feel singled out and treated unfairly, especially in a place that's supposed to feel welcoming. Transparency and equal treatment should be the bare minimum, and unfortunately, this experience left us feeling unwelcome and uncomfortable. French toast was good tho.

Whether you're here for fishing or just looking for a room with a view, this is undoubtedly the place to stay on Cold Lake. For anglers, the convenience of being across the street from the boat launch can't be overstated. The views from the 2nd floor lake side rooms are guaranteed to relax. The hosts will compete for the job of your favorite aunt and uncle. Unfortunately, there are hazards. The marina parking lot is a favorite Friday night meeting spot for the local teens who want to put their custom car stereos and after-market mufflers on display. Couple that with the thin walls and you get the picture. Still, I would say you would have a positive experience. If a sound sleep is of utmost importance, ask for south side room, you might do okay.

Theresa was so welcoming! Our room was very clean and well appointed. Location to the marina is so convenient. We enjoyed sitting on the back deck in the evening. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Thank you for a great weekend!
