7 Gables Inn & Suites

I appreciate the character and warmth of classic architecture, this hotel. The deep wooden finishes and old-school charm give the entire property a cozy, nostalgic, and peaceful ambiance. Despite the vintage feel, the rooms were incredibly comfortable and well-maintained. The staff was welcoming and the location was perfect for exploring. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a unique, relaxing getaway!

I was put in another building for a room I did not sign up for. I then had to walk up 4 flights of stairs with a suitcase while being told this was considered their penthouse. It was not and I didn't appreciate being placed in there. There was no way to control the temperature so it was cold during the day and too warm at night. The TV kept flickering off and on and the jacuzzi tub was not very strong. Do not accept being placed in this room.

When we first pulled up to the 7 Gables Inn we thought we had made a wrong turn. The confusion was that we thought we had booked a motel. Once we made our way upstairs we found a beautiful room and a gracious host who provided a delicious breakfast the next morning. I would definitely recommend this stay.

We had a nice stay. The room was clean and the breakfast was good. It's a very unique layout. A little confusing when first arrived, but we figured it out soon enough.

It is a quite unique hotel. If you do not expect the Hilton it is a real deal. It is quite old but clean and the staff is very kind. The breakfast was phenomenal! The entrance is a shocker and the rooms have a 70’s feel but everything is maintained just quite old. They are clearly doing their best with what they have and providing what is most important: good service, a very low price and there is nothing like home cooked delicious breakfast in your first night in Alaska. Plus you are able to walk to the Museum of the north!
