Clean but tiny space, a plus-size person would struggle to use the bathroom and toilet facilities. Good location, few minutes walk to the train station. Poor service- no lift and I was asked to carry my luggage up the stairs, receptionist wasn’t pleasant when I asked for help.

It had a homey feel, and as the reviews said, there was no elevator. The showers and toilets were clean. When I returned after checking out and leaving my luggage, there was no one at the reception desk. I pressed the doorbell several times but couldn't get in, so I waited for a few minutes and someone came, which made me anxious.

Smell of cigarette smoke in the room and in the common areas. A woman in the next room, apparently working in this hotel, who kept talking loudly on the phone, slammed her door, and above all we could hear her coughing every 30 seconds. Windows that let in so much air with lack of heating at night that I caught a cold (yes, I got sick because of it)! So, obviously, I do not recommend this hotel.

i had made a reservation to Brandenburger Hotel. in ********* The hotel make a check om my Credit Card and just wrote me back one they that the card is not valid, and i should write them back with new card. but i was on holyday and within 24 hours they canceled my 3 rooms, and i was not near my mailboks to reply. a really good guy i customer service i ********* helped my with another hotel. he told me that they ask for a big payment on credit card and that your bank decline the transfer, som they can say that the card is not valid. dont use this hotel with this poor service.

I stayed here for three nights during EURO 2024. As I expected, this is a no-frills hotel, but it was quiet and comfortable and ideal for my needs. My single room was at the back, overlooking the courtyard, with a private bathroom that was much larger than I expected, and looked like it had recently been refurbished . Some previous reviewers had mentioned thin walls and noise. My room was at the end of a corridor on the first floor with only one neighbouring room. I might have heard their television a couple of times, but not particularly late, and I had earplugs with me for sleeping, as I usually do when I'm staying in an unknown place. I slept soundly on all three nights. The breakfast buffet was excellent, with everything I wanted and more: cold meats, seeded bread rolls, natural yoghurt and boiled eggs. There is cereal, muesli, jam and fruit juice, too, and the fresh coffee, served individually at your table, was top quality. I was an early bird, arriving for breakfast when the buffet opened at 7am every day, and didn't see many other people there, even though the hotel was supposedly full. There are plenty of tables anyway, so you most likely wouldn't have to wait long, if at all, at a busier time. The hotel is within five minutes' walk of the central station (exit via Breslauer Platz), with easy access to the city centre and the river. I didn't want to splash out on a luxury hotel for my short stay, so chose the Brandenburger Hof for somewhere clean, centrally located and with a good breakfast. I chose well.

The only positive about this extremely old-fashioned ‘hotel’ is that it is only a 5 minute walk from the main station, that is if you take the correct exit! The hotel staff were also friendly and helpful. My room (fourth floor) was dated and soulless and Wi-Fi was sporadic to non-existent. It had a separate WC and shower room (although I did know about this when booking) which meant I was constantly awoken during the night by people popping to the bathroom. The one good point with regards the room was that it had a balcony. Good in the summer, not so much in February! Overall, a hotel in need of resuscitation although in a good location.
