Great experience. Lovely staff. The location was not too far from the dom. Amazing breakfast. Great bed. Spacious room. Parking spot was nice. Would recommend.

Reception was good offering good service during check in. Location is very near to the Rhein River and Old Town.

The room was small but clean, which was fine for a short stay. However, the breakfast cost €25 and had very few choices — definitely not worth the price. The swimming pool was also quite small, more for a quick dip than for relaxing. On the positive side, the hotel is located in the city centre, which made it convenient for sightseeing and dining out. Overall, a fair stay but overpriced for the limited facilities provided.

It’s a lovely and convenient hotel. With everything located nearby, it allows visitors to easily get around the city and all the popular spots. It is especially just a short walk away from the new market and all the neighbouring restaurants, bars, and it is connected to the famous Cologne Cathedral and train stations. In a word, I am very satisfied with my three - day stay.

the room is on the smaller side but more than enough for a solo traveller. the bed is super comfortable, probably the most comfortable hotel bed i've ever slept in. everything is clean and there is air conditioning. right next to the river and close to the old town and cathedral.

First of all, it’s a great location — not too crowded, close to the train station, and just a short walk to the river, the Chocolate Museum, and the canal. The room was clean, and the service was decent.

Lyskirchen Köln is such a good choice even the locals and traveling Germans recommend it. The location is 5-7 minutes away from the Chocolate Museum and roughly 15 minutes from the cathedral and central station. You can easily walk to the restaurants (including a nice Thai place called Krua Thai) and bars and reach the Roman museum and Hohenzollern bridge without much effort. The rooms at Lyskirchen are comfortable but don't expect the typical extras associated with 4-star hotels. I was grateful for the swimming pool, which was spacious enough that kids don't bother you when you do short laps (most will be disappointed with the gym though). I highly recommend doing the online check-in because the front desk will tell you to perform it there anyway. Lyskirchen Köln has these really nice eco-friendly keycards too. The breakfast is typical intercontinental and limited (so if it's not included with the room the 25 euros isn't worth it). Overall, the hotel is still an excellent choice for a brief stop at Köln.

It wasn’t the best experience for several reasons. First of all, the room lacked some small but important details — for example, there was no kettle. Secondly, the cleanliness was not up to standard; there was noticeable dirt, especially in the bathroom. Towels are not changed daily (the room is cleaned only every three days), which is quite surprising for a four-star hotel — it’s the first time we’ve encountered this. Additionally, the reception staff was not very informative and didn’t provide any explanations.

The hotel manager is friendly During my stay, I enjoyed the view of the Rhine River and used the indoor pool well ^^ It is right in front of the harbor district and close to the cathedral, so the location is good.
