Ameron Köln Hotel Regent

The hotel room was very clean and the front desk staff were very polite. Taking a taxi from the Hauptbahnhof to the hotel at night took about 15 minutes with no traffic, and the next day public transport to the main station took under 30 minutes.

Delicious dinner at the restaurant and a wide selection at the breakfast buffet. Great-smelling toiletries in the bathroom.

Very nice, large room, extremely comfortable bed and big bathroom, highly recommended.

We booked two double rooms (standard rooms) and the amenities were fantastic (a decently sized bathroom, super comfortable bed, minibar, large wardrobe...). The breakfast was really good and offered a wide variety. The staff were super friendly, and there were also plenty of parking spaces available.

This is actually a nice hotel with a delicious breakfast. Unfortunately, the fan was broken and couldn't be turned off. Neither a repair nor an alternative room was possible, which meant I barely slept due to the noise/fan sounds. Also, a promised refund was not honored.

The fridge in the room was empty. The ventilation system was too loud for me. Even when it was switched off, I could hear noises from the system in other rooms. The electric blinds didn't work. The curtain in front of the window was difficult to close completely because access to the window was partly blocked by the furniture. I had to climb on the armchair! The shower was defective in that the switch to cold or lukewarm water was stuck. Instead, there was super hot water, so I couldn't stand under the shower and had to wash myself with a wet towel.

Very nice room on the 12th floor with a view over Cologne (cathedral, TV tower, etc.). Very clean, large bathroom, very friendly staff, good parking options at and under the hotel.

Very friendly welcome and good service; rich breakfast buffet; friendly staff. Friendly and courteous cleaning staff.
