Legend Hotel

I chose this based on its proximity to Christmas markets. It was a very good choice. Easily walkable from train station, cologne cathedral, Christmas markets, shopping and restaurants. Yet it was quiet and calm, front staff was helpful and welcoming, room comfortable. Bed was very good, too Breakfast was not as large a buffet as we were accustomed to but still had hot and cold selections, fresh fruit and pastries.

Lovely boutique hotel with super friendly staff. We stayed in room 10 overlooking the square where the xmas market was being set up. The room was big with a modern concrete touch and working station and living area set up. Great value for money!

I was looking for a boutique hotel in cologne and thought of giving a try at this property. I had a good impression about the hotel after reading the reviews. 1. Let me start with the check in process which was smooth. It would be a good idea to ask your customers how the journey was or welcome to Legend hotel with a smile. Offer them the welcome drink, instead of just leaving it in the corner and expect them to notice it at some point during their stay. 2. Please never disturb your customers if they are eating breakfast even if you are not sure if they have paid for it or not. In my case I paid for the room and breakfast in advance at the check inn but I was literally asked to leave the breakfast room as according to their printout papers it said breakfast is not included in my stay. I had to show them the receipt of the bill which clearly said I paid for the breakfast as well. Any ways I left the breakfast room because it was pretty disrespectful the way chef talked to me in front of other guests. 3. Please communicate with in your team in advance so that there are no misunderstandings with your customers. 4. Rooms were nice and cozy. I would recommend the hotels because of the room not service. 5. Ask your customers if they would like to book lunch or dinner at your restaurant instead of not pointing at all. I didn't even know if there is a restaurant at your property for dinner until I saw people in the evening. 6. Tell about your hotel a little bit when they check inn like wifi password, breakfast timings, City map, Lunch and dinner reservations. Take some pride in customer service. I am sure your guests would have a better experience if you fixed the above issues, I run a luxury travel business and for me it's important for my clients to have a good experience while staying at a property.

We stayed at the hotel for 4 nights. Really good location overlooking a square and very close to the Cathedral / river. We stayed in a suite - there are a few so be sure to say which one you want in advance (ie loft, one with a bath, etc) - that was my only niggle - I thought we had one with a bath but didn’t. Staff friendly. Breakfast served in the adjacent restaurant - you need to book the night before - but good food. And it also appears the hotel of choice for Depeche Mode fans (all guests - including us - seemed to be there for the concert)!?!

Great location! We were in town for only two nights. So close to everything in central cologne including 3 Christmas markets and Der Dom. Very comfy beds. Great shower. We didn’t use the restaurant or the bar or even the rooftop terrace - but I can imagine they would be top notch Would stay again

The hotel is very modern and clean and located in an easy walk to the square, restaurants and other locations. The soundproofing works really well, the bed is comfy and the shower nice. We stayed in one of the attic rooms and it was pretty cosy, but it had a nice view and served us well. We stayed 2 nights, but any longer you might want to book one of the bigger rooms. We were travelling by train, and is an easy walk to / from the station, but there is no parking anywhere in this area of Cologne.
