Days Inn & Suites by Wyndham Albany

It's very clean and is one of the cheapest place to stay. I am homeless and I have to use my disability check to pay for my room. I truly appreciate the service and kindness, I have received since I have been staying there for over a few months

This was the worst Days Inn ever!! When we arrived and checked in went to room to find out that there was no fridge ( we have medications that need to be kept cold) and the phone did not work. Went back to reception and was told to call the on call maintenance. Explained we were not from USA and did not have a phone and the phone in the room did not work. Reception decided to reassign us a new room. Went to new room and phone still did not work. Back to reception and was told basically that it was too bad. He stated they did not have any other phones that would work. Very much a safety concern for us as we are both in our 70's and how to get help if needed. Reception just handed us a card with the manager's number and told us to contact him or email him. The whole place also just reeked of ********* in the hallways. Did not feel safe here at all. There were people congregating in the hallways and parking areas in groups drinking and smoking ? . The bed was comfortable but was cold most of the night as there were no blankets on the bed other than a sheet. As the phone still did not work were unable to call and ask for a blanket and was not about to go down 3 flights and across a parking lot in the middle of the night to reception again. No chair in the room other than an old desk chair. Went down for breakfast in the morning- was supposed to come with breakfast- and was told all they had was coffee or a juice. Would definitely recommend staying at any other hotel. Could not wait to get out of this place. Although the gentleman at the reception was polite he did not seem to understand the safety issues of no working phone in the room and was unable or unwilling to find a solution. The whole place had a very rundown feeling.
