Isle of Mull Hotel and Spa
"Very good stay , the bedroom was a good size and comfortable. The hotel was in a superb spot with great views over the bay. The food in the restaurant was good quality but I thought rather expensive. Breakfast was excellent and the restaurant service was very good with attentive staff. The place could use some modernisation but this did not detract from overall enjoyment."
Port Charlotte Youth Hostel
"What a fantastic hostel. In a former distillery, beautifully located right on a sandy bay with views across the loch. Clean throughout, comfortable beds, well equipped and an extremely helpful and kind warden. Very pleasant lounge with lots of reading matter. One of the very best hostels I've stayed in."
St Columba Hotel
"Such kindness and generosity was unmatched. Food delicious and plenty. View sensational. Comfy and so clean. "
Crinan Hotel
"Fab as always"
Inn at Port NAN Gael
"Great place in stunning location with fantastic views from our window. Large, comfortable room, massive ensuite, clean and tidy and beautifully laundered white cotton sheets. Only down side was no TV in room but we found we didn't really miss it. Meal in restaurant was excellent. I had vegan haggis which was excellent. Restaurant was really busy which was nice with a combination of visitors and locals. Great fibe and very friendly, helpful staff. Wonderful walks and beaches from doorstep. Can't recommend highly enough."
Another Place - the Machrie
"We enjoyed the privacy as it was at least a km away from the main road. A very nice hideaway if you want to get away from the bustling town. One thing though, please ensure you have your own car/transport covered as public transportation on Islay is not as convenient versus a normal city. Overall, a great place to stay! We’ll be back!"
Park Lodge Hotel
"It had everything we needed. Very quiet, great customer service especially in the restaurant/pub area. Friendly staff."
The Galley of Lorne Inn
"Had an excellent drink and meal at the very convivial Galley of Lorne Inn last night. The food was excellent and we can recommend the steak pie and the seafood linguine. Also we would make special mention of Amanda Maclean who waited on our table and made our evening very pleasurable. We were pleasantly surprised at the reasonable pricing in their dining room overlooking the Loch."
