Holiday Inn COLUMBUS DWTN-CAPITOL SQUARE by IHG

Very nice, though a bit dated. The hotel was an easy walk to Nationwide Arena, which was our ultimate destination. Very close to the majority of breweries, restaurants and night life in the "Arena District ". About a 10-15 walk. The employees at the hotel were all extremely nice and helpful. Only complaint was that the room we were in, which I am sure is the same as others, had no updated plugs for charging phones. While that was inconvenient it wasn't a deal breaker in my mind. Good parking($12) and a safe area to be in.

I liked the hotel, they checked me in earlier than the stated time. Very good

The room smelt very musty. Ice machines did not work. Only the hot water for the sink had any pressure. When it was turned to cold nothing came out.

I loved the stay at this location because it was downtown in the middle of everything I needed to attend... The only thing I didn't like was the fact there was NO MICROWAVE to warm up any food in our room.

We didn't get to use the pool because we arrived later than planned and didn't have time since we were only there for the night. It was a nice quiet location right in downtown and we enjoyed staying there and there were a lot of restaurants closer than we realized that weren't coming up on my phone for some reason. When we arrived our room wasn't ready because of some people calling off that day from the cleaning staff and we had to eat dinner anyway. So we just ate dinner right there at the hotel at the burger place and enjoyed it. And the woman from the front desk came over and told us when our room was ready so it was no big deal. But she waved charging me parking because of the fact the room wasn't ready when we got there. Told me I could call ******* and get my rate reduced or something but we didn't need to do that. It worked out fine since we needed to eat anyway. But she was very nice and helpful. And if we go back to Columbus hopefully we'll remember which hotel cuz we did enjoy it.
