"The hotel's location is average, but the value for money is excellent. It happened to be a Sunday, so the only supermarket within walking distance closed before 5 p.m. We ordered pizza and chicken wings for 26 pounds, which were delicious and generous in size. The family room also came with complimentary drinks, alcohol, and snacks, making it a perfect combination. Since we had to leave at 7 a.m. the next day and couldn't have breakfast, we informed the front desk, and they prepared a takeaway breakfast for us: a sandwich, a bottle of water, fruit, and some snacks. The service was excellent."

"A beautiful location with stunning views. The hotel interior was a perfect mix of traditional and contemporary. Our room was right at the top of the building and, although very small, it was well designed and very clean. The service was excellent and the staff couldn't do enough to help you. We had dinner in the bar, which was tasty and arrived quickly and hot! All in all, The Cottage in the Woods is a perfect place for a quiet break with a little luxury. We will definitely be returning."

"Ideal location for a stay. Right in the town centre with plenty of quirky shops nearby. Next door to the corn exchange venue we were visiting. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Rooms were spotless and despite being a bit dated, had all facolities needed for a comfortable stay. Loved the wonky staircase but wouldnt like to use it after a few beers!"
