We were the only family staying there that day, and I guess most of the business was taken away by the homestays at the entrance of Jiabang Terraces. The room we booked did not include breakfast. We arrived after 9pm and there was no dinner, so we had to try our luck at the shop next door. Fortunately, the kind lady boss shared food with us. The facilities in the house are relatively simple. There is no toilet, but there is a squatting toilet in the shower area. Basic toiletries and slippers are provided. The bed is relatively hard and has an electric blanket. The nights at the end of March are still very cold. In the morning, you will be woken up by the crowing of chickens outside the house, and experience the rural life. I discussed with the boss lady in the morning and got a bowl of noodles. The fried egg was especially delicious! We started visiting the terraced fields in the morning. After going up the stairs opposite the hotel and turning right, there was an observation deck. We could visit several major terraced fields along the way, which was very convenient.

After getting off the shuttle bus, you still have to climb a hill for more than ten minutes. Tourists with children or the elderly should pay attention to this. The hotel is in a good location, in Jiaye Village. It is also very convenient to take a sightseeing bus in the scenic area. The hotel is very cost-effective, the rooms are spacious, and the bedding is clean. Occasionally there are one or two moths and insects. This is the case in this mountain. It is normal and not a big problem. We also had dinner at the B&B. The boss cooked it himself and recommended the local chicken. It tasted good and the meat was really delicious. The inn has vegetables, melons and rice grown with mountain spring water. My picky eater can eat two bowls of rice in one meal. On the return trip, we bought dozens of kilograms of rice to take back to Guangdong to eat. All in all, the trip to Jiabang Rice Terraces was perfect. I would recommend it to friends for food and accommodation. Note: The local chili peppers are spicy and delicious. Friends who don’t like spicy food or eat a little spicy food must make it clear in advance. After 8 years, I stayed at Yunshang Terraces again. There was not much difference from before. The whole homestay was well maintained. It can be seen that the owner maintained it very carefully. The geographical location is not really superior in the entire terraced field scenic area. It is far away from the main attractions. The nearest Dongpeng Terraces is about 20 minutes of hiking up the mountain, but the quiet environment is just right for me.
