The Sun ★★★
"A beautiful little hotel, I think there are only 6 rooms though. All staff were on hand for any queries and help in any way they can. During my stay it was lovely and sunny and they have an outdoor area idea for a while in the sun 😂. If you have any sort of disability and find it difficult to climb stairs this place is probably not for you, no lift in the hotel and all rooms are upstairs, the car park is at the back of the hotel with steps up to the hotel that has a hand rail but the few steps into the hotel doesn’t. I was in room 6, 3 lots of stairs to negotiate but the view was spectacular."
The Coniston Inn - the Inn Collection Group ★★★★
"The scenery is superb, the environment is great, and the service is warm and welcoming."
Bluebird Lodge ★★★
"Each time we’re in Coniston visiting family we try to stay at different places and do this time it was the Bluebird lodges and apartments and we was not disappointed, Tracey and Michael were soo nice and could not do enough for us, we started each morning with a full English, the room was very clean and Cosy but the view up the old man from our room was another level, will deffo be staying here again in the future and it was lovely to meet you both"
Bluebird Loft ★★★★
Bank Ground Farm ★★★
"We’ve just returned (again) from Bank Ground Farm, and honestly… where do I even begin? First of all, Jonathon -just wow! The kind of host you rarely come across. The owner, and somehow… everywhere at once. From taking us to see the lambs (a moment our little boy will never forget 🐑), to serving tables, clearing, making coffees, providing everything, giving tours of the farm, and always checking in to make sure everything is just right. He doesn't “run” the place from a distance , he lives it. Works alongside his wonderful team, leads by example, and creates something truly special. You feel at home away from home … but more than that, you feel like you’ve known him forever. That kind of warmth is rare, and appreciated. As for the farm , just as magical as we remembered, or even more. This time, everything was greener, blooming, alive… trees, flowers, fresh air, that peaceful countryside feeling that instantly slows you down. The perfect base for exploring the Lakes or simply switching off, like we did. We stayed in The Stables cottage, and although we originally booked Beckfoot, this was a beautiful surprise. Spacious, full of character, perfectly equipped , a lovely mix of modern comfort and rustic charm. And that four-poster bed… the cherry on top 👑 I genuinely felt like a princess for a few nights. The views? 10+ The serenity? priceless. The food? absolutely to die for. This place has a way of making you come back… not just for the location, but for the feeling it gives you. We’ll be back again hopefully soon 🙏"
