Room rather dated and had an odd smell. Couldn't get any hot water in the shower. Ate there as there wasn't anywhere else to go within walking distance. We had fish/scampi & chips. Very greasy and very brown in colour, so left most of it. The hotel closed up at about 9pm so off to our room we went to watch tv. Unfortunately we couldn't get the Smart tv to work as we don't have an Amazon account. Not even the lady on duty could get it to work. Disappointing visit and couldn't wait to leave in the morning.

This place is really in the wilds of the Yorkshire Dales, Although it is only 15 minutes drive from Grassington. when we arrived the staff were so unpleasant, it was case of why are bothering to stay here. First impression of my room was a nice bedroom in a old pub the bed was comfortable and a large bathroom. we had booked in for dinner that night. the meal was average, i have eaten better. and this is when the hotel started really go down hill. The Breakfast the next, well you had a course of cereal stale cheap supermarket brand corn flake or go with out, a full cooked English breakfast, that made two of us fill ill for the rest of the day. being a Ex chef to me it was a case of using dirty oil in the kitchen, one more item was toast for breakfast again cheap supermarket food. Now back to the rooms, there was 6 of us so we had a total of 4 room two singles (double beds) and two couples (double beds). in my beath i noticed that the sick had a crack and a hole in it, filled with sealant, the taps wear lose, a towel hook was so bad that it fall of every time you tried to hang the wet towel on it, and the bath had a crack it again filled in with sealant. then too top it off the windows. the blinds had cords to open them up. the cords i think had the same oil on them that the breakfast was cooked with. When i tired to open the windows, they were stuck painted still they were stuck. I thought i would the bad luck of having the worst room and hope my friends rooms were better. NO WAY they all had as many problems in their rooms as well. Strange thing we never got any polit reaction form the staff at any time. I Have thoughts

We stayed here 2 and a half years ago when the place was under different ownership. We booked again for a night but were a little put off after reading the reviews. We needn't have been worried. We knew what to expect. The place undoubtably could do with a handyman just to complete little jobs (tightening taps or giving wardrobes a coat of paint) but it was clean, the bed was comfy, the breakfast (full english) was AMAZING and the views beautiful. We only saw two girls all weekend (one really, with a sighting of another on check-out) but we have no complaints. Will come again and possibly request one of the better rooms.

The worst hotel experience I have ever had, and i stay in a lot of hotels for work, so it takes a lot to say that Not at all like its photos or website. Clearly in dire straits. Two polish girls trying to run it and run ragged. Room was nowhere near acceptable and very worn furniture and very poor ancient and dirty mattress under the sheets. Got bites on the back of my head from the bed. We were meant to stay a week. Knew we had made a big mistake on arrival but decided to try and persevere as we had travelled up from Cornwall. Stuck it two days and then checked out. Fortunately got a refund after some emailing. Its such a shame as has so much potential, but there is clearly no money there and the breakfast was laughable with cheap budget food and only supermarket type own brand products/choice. Other guests shared similar experiences and said never again.

10 of us came for dinner at the end of July. Absolutely fantastic service. The team were so welcoming, friendly and customer focused. The food - quality, quantity and taste - was excellent. Not a single bad meal in the table. And a great price point. Fab location ... will defo return.

Gets 4 stars for the quality of the beer and the friendly staff, we didn't eat here, (although the food served to other tables looked pretty good). We sat outside: the view is amazing, you are almost right under Kilnsey Crag. The bar inside did look a bit tired and could do with a bit of TLC as could the garden, but for the beer and view alone it is worth a visit

We live locally and enjoyed a very nice lunch here last week. Very large baguette with plenty of filling it cones with a nice salad and tortilla chips. More than enough but we ordered chips as a small extra and they were home made and gorgeous! We would recommend.

Absolutely horrible ! I have not been to this place but I did apply for a job and they scheduled an interview with me. I joined it and was sat there for 30 mins waiting but no one joined I tried to call the place no answer and after 3 days I got a response asking to reschedule so I agreed. I got ready n as I was about to join they cancelled it 5 minuites before the time and left no response or anything. I rang up and no answer I have tried to ring multipul times and every time no answer. Absolutely horrible. Would not recommend as a work place. They just waste your time.
