3-Star Hotels in Cooke City

The Super 8 is located right on the main road through town on US Highway 212, not far from the northeast entrance to Yellowstone National Park. Check-in was just about possible at reception shortly before 8 p.m., but those arriving later had to look for their name on an envelope with the key card on the board. The hotel is quite old and does not really have a comfortable atmosphere. The room and bathroom were clean, however. The access door at the back of the building could only be leaned ajar and was thus open all night. The staff was distant and avoided eye contact. Very limited selection at breakfast. Wifi, however, was better and more stable than ”threatened” at check-in.

The Alpine Motel of Cooke City was an affordable place to stay on our vacation trip to Yellowstone NP. The rooms are cozy and comfortable. While they are small (we chose the Queen room for 2) it brings a sense of peace nestled in the forest. We were very impressed with the nice touches of caring kindness that a put smile on our faces. Beautiful large hanging baskets of flowers were an incredible gestures of courtesy and kindness that brings an element of joy. We chose the Alpine Motel due to their proximity to Yellowstone National Park and their price as well as a relaxing and affordable place to stay. We were not disappointed. Rooms were clean. Bed was cozy. Rooms have a fridge (but it does need upgraded as ours was frosted over). Staff is very friendly and pleasantly welcoming. They also have an on-site laundry ($5 complete for washing / drying). The bathrooms definitely need updating. We found this place ti be a great place to stay on a limited budget. 👍

The location of the hotel is good, the environment is average, there is no hair dryer, it's ok to stay for one night, the hotel seems to be run by an Indian, the sound insulation of the hotel is very poor, and the Indians next door can hear clearly when watching TV. More efficient things. When checking in, there is an envelope on each bed that says ”Thank you for cleaning”, suggesting that we are tipping. This is the first time I have seen this hotel.
