"The spa, sauna, and steam room were completely unavailable. It was incredibly disappointing, especially since we had traveled a long way for our holiday—it really ruined the experience. The staff couldn't offer much help, so it felt like a total waste of time. If the facilities aren't ready, guests should be informed beforehand, as my partner and I had really been looking forward to relaxing together during our break.😩😩😩😩"

"We had a great stay here for the first time. We were greeted by Lupy on reception who was friendly, polite & extremely helpful. The whole hotel is very clean & decorated in a very nice contemporary style. Our room was very clean & comfortable. The swimming pool is a lovely size with a sauna & steam room & a working jacuzzi (which is quite rare we have found in lots of hotels recently!) Breakfast was very good, with lots of choice & the hot food was constantly being checked & replenished thanks to Jordan - head chef! All of the waiting staff were very friendly & helpful too, especially the young lady who helped me at the coffee machine as I’d forgotten my spectacles. Also thank you to the little blonde new waitress for being so friendly. We would definitely recommend & will be back."

The hotel was very clean throughout and the reception staff provided excellent service, they were friendly, efficient and welcoming.  However, the jacuzzi was not operational during my stay, which was disappointing as it was one of the facilities I was looking forward to using.  Despite this, the cleanliness and quality of service made the stay comfortable. "

"Quite a wacky, quirky hotel- which we love! The main hotel is unique and fab, but the rooms are tired and outdated and could be cleaned to a higher standard. The tap water is not drinkable, so more drinking water also needs to be provided and accessible in double and twin rooms- one bottle for two people is not enough. When phoning reception to request two bottles of water, we were still only given one and the empty bottle we had was also weirdly and awkwardly requested and collected at our door first, before we were allowed more water, which was then bought separately and left outside the room? Just a little odd when they have to provide drinking water. A great location hotel though and we actually love the extravagant, crazy style of the main hotel and have been back 3 times and would stay again when in the area for work. You have to see it to believe it!"

"Of the several Travelodges in the region this proved the best value for money but it was noisy with constant traffic roar from the A12 which was probably to be expected adjacent to such a busy road but I had to keep the windows closed. Despite this I did have a very comfortable night's sleep as one grew accustomed to the sound of traffic. I do rate it with 5 stars as it, in itself, was excellent."
