Positive aspects:
Convenient location.
Room was clean on arrival.
Bed was comfortable.
Negative aspects:
The hotel was undergoing major renovation work, and we were not informed before arrival.
The lobby/ground floor was full of dust, scaffolding, building materials, and noise.
It was initially unclear whether the hotel was even open due to the extent of the construction work.
The windows were not double glazed, so street noise (including conversations) could be heard throughout the night.
During the day, there was constant drilling, banging, and other construction noise, making it impossible to rest.
A worker was regularly on the scaffolding outside the bedroom window, meaning we could not keep the curtains open for privacy.
There was only one shared bathroom/toilet for the entire floor consisting of at least 5–6 bedrooms.
No soap or hand-drying facilities were available in the toilet.
No divider between shower and toilet (which were right next to each other) so the entire room was wet post shower, making it hard for someone else to use the toilet without drying/cleaning the unit ourselves.
Doors were very noisy when closing.
Floors throughout the property were dusty due to the building work.
There were no staff on site. Access relied entirely on a digital key, so if your phone failed or you lost access, there was no immediate assistance available.
The price was not low enough to justify these issues.
Overall:
In my opinion, this hotel should be avoided while the renovation work is ongoing, unless the rooms are being offered at a significantly reduced price.
