We’ve been going to Greetham Valley now for over 15 years on a golf break. The hotel and course are now under new management. The golf experience is very good, however, the food in the hotel is terrible. It’s now worse than bad…..it can only be compared to one down from the worst school dinner you’ve eaten. I struggle to find the words for how bad the food in the golf deal was. We are already booked in for next year but sadly we will vote with our feet and we won’t be returning.

A two day stay but wifi was poor and cleaner missed my room but that I can live with. What I can't is the attitude of the restaurant waiter guy who was very rude to people not just me. I waited over an hour for food and when I asked him to change the very dirty knife and empty vinegar bottle he just walked away while I was talking then when I shouted him back he used threatening finger pointing at me? Other people in the restaurant who saw this were calling him very rude and I should complain. He was also shouting at a large table of golfers to be quiet while he served the food to them. Unbelievable behaviour and I do over 160 nights a year in hotels and rarely complain but this was unacceptable. The hotel looked great for golf etc which is a shame that after a hard days work you have to face that. I complained to the Reception but as we know as soon as you leave that probably goes in the bin? The lady next to me who I was chatting to was complaining on the wait and looked shocked by his attitude. Even the reception agreed with me that he is temperamental in his manner but I would call it crazy and the guy needs further training.

First of all this is no longer a ‘family owned’ hotel. The bar/restaurant staff were friendly but run off their feet. We stayed three nights and were surprised to have exactly the same menu on the first and third nights. The menu is definitely aimed at the male golfer with a plain appetite. The bedrooms were fine but looked over the car park - as the ground floor rooms are below the level of the cars we had a fine view of exhausts and suspension arms! The golf courses were in good condition but overall the package was not great value.

We were disappointed in the evening meal and the poor service! Over night 4 bags of clubs plus building tools and personal items were stolen from a vehicle. There was no CCTV in the car park area. We were told this was unusual but apparently not the case!

We stayed at the Greetham Valley Hotel for a family reunion, and they provided large well appointed rooms, mostlly with a good view across the golf course. Breakfasts were self service, with a wide range of cold and hot food. The Bar serviced golfers and residents alike, and stayed iopen till 11.45 for those wanting a late drink. Overall, we were welcomed upon arrival, had everything we needed, includiing extra tea and milk, and were ppleased with the venue

This was my third time visiting Greetham Valley with friends for a few days golf. As always the hotel and golf courses were in great condition the food was excellent I can recommend the pie it’s excellent. The hotel and pro shop staff always go the extra mile to be helpful and make the trip even more enjoyable. Can’t recommend Greetham Valley golf and hotel enough.

We got back yesterday from having a great weekend here. we came last year and can honestly say that last year was also good but the food wasn't. This has massively improved this year and enjoyed by all. Thankyou to all the staff from front of house, restaurant/bar and proshop to the 3 lovely starters. Love both these courses and considering the weather this weekend they recover well, so well done groundstaff too. We are definately coming back

Went on a golf weekend with friends. Golf courses were in good condition considering the amount of rain that had recently poured down. Breakfast and snacks were good, but evening meals were not the best. Bar and restaurant staff were excellent.
