"I booked a pool view room, but the room I was given had a poor view and was inconsistent with the order. Ctrip actively contacted the hotel, but the hotel refused to change the hotel, so the check-in experience was very poor. I agree with Ctrip's handling attitude. Please don't make reservations when visiting this hotel. I feel that its attitude towards Chinese people is not very friendly."

"We paid $1300 for 2 nights in a king bed room with a balcony, but on arrival were assigned a ground floor unit, dark with small patio under 2nd floor balcony - on busy walkway with lots of families going by, peeking in, making noise, etc. I asked the concierge and a room agent to change but was told no balcony kings available. Finally found wonderful room agent who found room type that we were SUPPOSED to have had. WE SHOULDN'T HAVE HAD TO GO THROUGH ALL THAT HASSLE TO GET THE ROOM TYPE THAT WE HAD ORIGINALLY RESERVED! Then on checkout we found a room charge made in the hotel restaurant that wasn't ours. Again had to make numerous calls to convince people that we had NOT made that charge. In summary: the hotel is beautiful, historic and picturesque. However it is expensive ($600+ rooms, $59/day parking, pricey meals, etc) and water at the beach is not safe due to pollution. We will go back to Coronado but plan to stay at a different hotel."

"It was already past 1am when we drove from the airport to the hotel. The navigation took us to the back door of the hotel. We didn't know how to check in because we needed a card to get in. We drove around and around until we finally saw a staff member coming out. We realized that it was the back door and we had to go around to the front door. After checking in, we went to the room and found that the window of the room faced a wall, which meant there was no view. It was really not worth the rent. Fortunately, I communicated with the front desk the next day and they included breakfast for the next day as compensation."

"The hotel is really poorly arranged. I booked two rooms. I used the local phone number in the United States 3 times. I hope to arrange a connecting room or an adjacent room. No one answered 2 times. I asked me to wait for another colleague to deal with it for more than 5 minutes. When I checked in, I was notified that the two rooms were at one end and the other! I talked to my colleagues in Trip.com, and my colleagues in Trip.com were very good. They responded quickly and helped the hotel. However, the hotel needs to be rewarded by the superiors. The procedures are rigid and I will not pursue them without trouble. The hotel room is old and the sound insulation is slightly inferior. In addition, the other cooking is very good. The hotel's general location is very good. There is a private passage to the beach. The dining level in the hotel is also very high. The scenery is first-class!"
