Regency Torviscas Apartments and Suites
4/550 Reviews
Excellent apartments and amenities. The reception team both on arrival and departure were very very friendly and informative. Only slight downside for us was it was a little too far from the beach and amenities which made it very quiet however this would suit a lot of people. There was an excellent Spanish themed restaurant around the corner from the resort literally 2 minutes which served excellent food and had excellent background music.
GF Isabel
4.1/54 Reviews
We just returned from a one-week stay at the GF Isabel with my wife and our two young children. We opted for half-board accommodations in a bungalow apartment. Pros: The hotel is nicely located, spacious, and has a charming village-like atmosphere. The three pools were pleasant, and we never had trouble finding loungers. The gym was decent, equipped with enough machines for a good workout. Evening entertainment was enjoyable and kid-friendly, offering plenty of variety. Additionally, the table service for drinks was quick and efficient. Cons: My main complaint is the food, which was likely the worst hotel buffet I've experienced. While it wasn't bad, it certainly didn't meet the standard set by other hotels I've visited over the past 30 years. There were no themed nights, limited variety, and generally nothing that was enticing enough for a second plate. Everything felt like a midweek dinner back home. The food at the pool bar was particularly disappointing; we waited 30 minutes for a half-cooked, pre-frozen pizza. As for the drinks, they were hit or miss, depending on who was tending the bar. The mojitos and Aperol spritzes were generally good, but the piña coladas, margaritas, and cosmopolitans we tried were terrible. The staff was professional and efficient, though not particularly friendly. In contrast, the cleaning staff were lovely and always greeted us with a smile and a cheerful ”Hola.” Overall, while the resort has some nice amenities, I ultimately feel it isn't worth the price tag, and I wouldn't choose to stay here again.
Royal Sunset Beach Club

Last minute booking it didn't disappoint. We had a one bedroom apartment which was spacious, with a safe included in the price, fully equipped kitchen, lots of storage, filter water tap which saved us having to keep buying water and a great size terrace with your own sunbeds, parasol and table and chairs, would have been nice to have a pool view however we as we did not spend a great deal of time in the room it did not spoil our stay. Lovely pool, plenty of comfy sunbeds (no sunbed wars when we were there!), very reasonably priced pool bar, daytime activities including archery and bingo. There was evening entertainment but we never saw this Location is excellent bars, restaurants, supermarket and beach all within a short walk and if you need a cab there is a rank outside the hotel Friendly polite staff, cleaning is every 3 days but not an issue, you can empty your own bin nearby if needed : plan to return in 2025
JOIA El Mirador by Iberostar -Adults Only
4.7/541 Reviews
Yet another fantastic holiday at the Mirador - I forget how many visits, but I'm into double figures, both solo, with relatives or friends. That should tell you what an exceptional place this is. The situation, style, rooms, gardens and general ambience are just Paradise, made even more so by the wonderful staff. Nothing is too much trouble for any one of them in all departments, and always with willingness and a smile. It's almost unfair to single out anyone, but the assistant management ”girls team” of Carla, Victoria, Claudia and Isabel are exceptional and Diana in Star Prestige is a gem. Tiziana - currently on maternity leave - was missed, but she can rest assured her team are doing her proud in her absence! Without exception the restaurant, bar, reception and room & sunbed service staff are superb. If you are looking for the ultimate holiday with that extra luxury and serenity, this is the place, especially if you indulge yourself in the Star Prestige upgrade. And I haven't yet mentioned the superb sunshine! You won't be disappointed, and - like me - you'll be back for more! See you at Christmas!
Hotel Riu Palace Tenerife
4.5/569 Reviews
The Riu Palace Costa Adeje is good value for money, it has many positives - the staff are excellent, the hotel is clean, the food is very good, the grounds and pools are excellent. It is in a very good location - quiet but close to all amenities. There are a couple of things which would improve the holiday experience- the rooms are a bit tired and would benefit from updating, the evening entertainment is ok but dated, it seems to be catering to 70+ year old guests. We have stayed in several Riu hotels and find that the staff are a big positive, which was true during this stay. Overall, there is much that is good about the hotel, it just needs to modernise.
Bahia del Duque
4.5/573 Reviews
I first stayed at this hotel in 2009 - it always stood out in my memory as being one of the best hotels I had ever stayed in - flawless, attentive service and little touches too numerous to mention. Since then the hotel has lost all the considerations that made it so special, not to mention a drop in service levels that makes me question whether it even deserves 4 stars. For me the Bahia Del Duque is one of the last vestiges of old school charm and tradition on the island - the hotel itself is architecturally dazzling and adorned with intersecting lagoons that make the property quite unique against the backdrop of modern, trendy sites along the Tenerife *****. i do agree the hotel could do with a renovation but i actually feel they get away with it given there is so much beauty all around. The old AC system in the hotel even struggled to keep up with the heat in our room however the hotel did very kindly upgrade me to a suite with working AC, which was a really nice touch that I am very grateful for. This is where my romance with the Bahia del Duque ends. 1) Hotel is grossly understaffed - nobody serving drinks round the pool. Pool bars and beach bar (La Gomera) understaffed. Reception also understaffed, making lengthy waits at check in/check out. I communicated this to the Club House who seemed very grateful that i had bought it up and encouraged me to speak to management - they seemed under quite a lot of pressure themselves and were grateful someone was speaking up. Management didn't really seem to care and made excuses about it being particularly busy (81% full, I am told). 2) Breakfast is horrifically depressing - poor selection, poor quality, poorly executed eggs and hot dishes. Dry fruit, greyish/dull smoked salmon. I urge management to walk into the breakfast buffet at any luxury hotel and see the stark difference immediately. Other restaurants in this hotel are actually decent - the chef in charge of breakfast should be ashamed of themself. 3) 2/3 pools are freezing - customers wincing getting into the water. please heat them! it's so obviously unpleasant. Lot's of problems which frustratingly are all fixable. The solution? Charge guests a bit more if you need... get more staff (train them better), heat all the pools, up your breakfast game! What we have here is a once great hotel where the management do not care about the decline in standards. The management I spoke to in the hotel did not care. When i completed the satisfaction survey after my departure i did not get a response. I even added the hotel manager on Linkedin and sent her a long message and my phone number asking to discuss - i haven't heard back! My conclusion is that clearly the management do not care half as much as I do. A hopeless situation. Such a waste to see this beautiful property has descended into mediocrity. I doubt very much I'll return.
