Precise Resort El Rompido-The Hotel

Rooms were clean, a good size and bed comfy. Staff were very friendly although very short staffed in the bar - woeful service. Golf courses needs some maintenance as starting to look tired. Plenty of supplybof buggies. Shop is amazing! Such good choice for both men and women. Out of 4 nights we only had one evening of entertainment - unusual for this type of hotel. The singer on the last night of our stay was great and really interacted with our group. Great fun, shame it was only one night. We paid for semi inclusive pre-paid drinks between 5pm and 11pm (makes it easier as we were a group of 13). But it took 20 minutes for drinks to arrive, one evening we waited 1 hour for our drinks even after a couple of times asking where they were we still had none. We were not allowed to get them from the bar ourselves. Customers paying had them before us. They wouldn't deliver them to our table at dinner, we had now waited an hour and needed food. I asked to speak to a manager after waiting 40 minutes but nothing was done. 1 hour 15 minutes later we gave up and went to dinner where at least we had table wine and water. After dinner was better, but we were told we couldn't order the next drink until we had FULLY finished our previous drink, not even a ccoffee.so waited 20 minutes at least between drinks. They were treating us as though they were giving us free drinks!!! Definately not good value or a positive experience. The next day I asked to speak to a manager who was lovely but our night suffered. We still laughed and had a good night but it was dry. Outside pool was fresh, too cold for some but manageable. Free train to beach was great.

Great hotel with great facilities. Lovely pool which was clean and cool and just what was needed. Friendly staff. Great room with a balcony. Very clean. Excellent food choices generally except as a veggie who doesn’t eat fish the choice was limited.

Great golf break at El Rompido. 8 of us stayed and all had a great time. Played North and South courses twice and both in great condition, greens excellent and ran very true. One small issue would be cart paths were a bit bumpy but no detraction from golf. Clubhouse bar had a good selection of snacks and bar meals and usual alcohol selection, beer €7.00 a pint. Hotel rooms very clean and modern and beds comfy. But no tea/coffee facilities which was a bit of a surprise. For dinner we were given our own table which was nice. We were on the golfers all inclusive which started at 1700 and ran till midnight. Bottles of wine on each table and replenished quickly. Buffet was very good with good selections and separate grill area which on 2 of the 4 nights we were there served good steaks. One night we also very much enjoyed the large prawns😁. Breakfast buffet very good as well with all the normal items you’d expect. 3 bars including pool one which served standard selection of drinks. The Galea bar had a TV and we were there for the 2 champions league semis and it got crowded very quickly and was a bit of an issue to get served. Used the spa facilities once and pool, jacuzzi and sauna all good. I would say it is geared to golf groups but would think during summer there’s less of them. Walked into El Rompido one morning and that took 15 mins and was very pleasant. But did the free train too which was fine. No complaints at all and would return

One week golf trip for couple of experienced golfers. Spacious, comfortable room, nice and quiet, with balcony. Buffet breakfast had lots of cold options, but limited hot food. Same for dinner - quality of cooked meat not brilliant, but salads and desserts excellent. Golf was very enjoyable - preferred South Course (played 3 times) to North (played twice) - allow 5 minutes in buggy or 10 minutes walking to get to 1st tee on North Course! Most of course had been over-watered each night, which meant surrounds of tees and greens were very wet, as were some of the fairways. Greens and bunkers were excellent. Bit of an issue with wild boars chewing up the wet parts of the courses, but didn't really affect the playing areas. Good variety of holes, with some doglegs, some open fairways, some tree-lined - a fair challenge for all standards. Lot of senior and lady golfers, most of them walked the courses (4.5 hours average). Spa was excellent, FOC for one hour per day, with hydrotherapy pool, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna. Food options at pool bar a bit limited - better options at golf club restaurant. Took the free road train down to El Rompido village on our day off, and got ticket at hotel reception for free boat trip out to beach - not much there, so caught next boat back, and walked back to hotel (30 minutes)!

Everything was brilliant, rooms, food, staff and the golf and golf shop. All the staff were friendly and made you feel very welcome. Loved the live entertainment as well.

Excellent week with 5 rounds of golf. 4 couples in our group, and no complaints with hotel or golf courses. We had the semi all inclusive deal, which is drinks between 5pm and midnight at the pool bar, restaurant and lounge bar. We found this to be really good value. Booked with golf breaks and very happy with the deal we got.
