I felt like I wanted to get in the shower and clean myself all the time.. the whole place just felt dirty. From food over the plates that were meant to be clean, stains in the cups in our room to a mouldy balcony table it just felt vile. I would be here all day writing all the things we spotted! We have stayed in many a 3* and have loved them all, but bluebay felt nothing like a 3 star. Not to mention the rude staff. Don’t waste your money..

First impressions were good, check in was quick and dinner was still on so we weren't hungry. Staff were mostly friendly and the food service staff worked amazingly hard as it was busy! Food- average but we always found something to eat. Pool snacks were okay but birds kept trying to eat the food so not at all hygienic, staff just moved the birds off but didn't get rid of the food. Drinks- good range and self service beer and soft/hot drinks were good. Cleaning in the rooms- beds were made but nothing else. They took towels away but didn't replace them. Reception were happy to provide new ones. Pool- absolutely freezing which was disappointing as our children couldn't even swim in it. We bought them floats so they could at least be on the pool. Most others did this too. Entertainment- not enough space for everyone to see the evening entertainment. The pool bar could do with being open in the evening as there was no atmosphere at the lobby bar. The most disappointing point of the holiday wasn't the hotels fault at all- children of all ages being allowed to run wild, swearing, shouting etc. The children were also helping themselves to food and drink and were not supervised- putting lots of people off certain things e.g. puddings! We went with our two children who are certainly not angels but still had to follow rules we set. I imagine this is the case most hotels though. All in all it was an ok holiday and our two enjoyed it which is all that matters really. But we really wouldn't recommend staying here!

We arrived on Wednesday this week. We did see some other bad reviews previous and tried to change our hotel with Jet 2 the weekend but it was too late. These reviews were true.. The food was dreadful, overcooked and very little to offer. The chairs in the dining room were filthy. We picked up numerous dirty plates and glasses swapping and changing to find some kind of clean ones. The pool bar cups were again dirty, food all over the floor, it looked understaffed or they just couldn’t be bothered to clean up. The room was very dated, fridge was mouldy, shower was mouldy. The patio had cracked tiles. The sofa bed was all ripped. No suitable place for our toddler to sleep so ended up in with us for the night. We paid 28 euros for a safe, got to the room it didn’t work, rang reception said he would send maintenance who never turned up. Went back to reception the next day and got my money back. We spoke to the jet 2 rep who was in the process of moving another family. They advised a move for us would take up to 72 hours, by this time we would have been halfway through our holiday. So we booked another hotel down the road packed up and left. The receptionist basically said, “your expectations are too high”… A local taxi driver even said the place is a dump and advised us of the better hotels. 100% glad we swapped now. Shame on Jet 2 for selling this hotel as a 3 star it’s 2 at most and shame on them for selling this hotel to people at all.

We had a great holiday! Lots of activities for kids, including the mini disco which my 6 year old loved! The choice of food at every meal time was good and varied so our fussy eater always found something he liked. The staff were very friendly and helpful also. The hotel is in need of an update but for us it ticked all the boxes we wanted. Thankyou blue bay!

Was a bit apprehensive on reading previous reviews.. all inclusive a family of 6 the food was good , plenty choice for all, although be prepared to que at meal times, Entertainment is fab for kids plenty to do for all ages the team work hard and all are friendly.. then we have the rooms 😒 they are dated and could do with a lick of paint and a bit of a upgrade but to be honest if your only sleeping in them then it’s not all bad, although in 5 days cleaners come once had to help ourselves to clean towels .. a quiet area with a sports bar 2 mins walk (Monica’s ) but the staff are really rude .. 10 min walk down to the main bars and restaurants if you fancy a night out. Not all bad like stated in previous reviews kids enjoyed it that’s the main thing.

We came here for a cheap week away with the family and was pleasantly surprised how much nicer it was after reading some of the reviews. Hotel was clean and tidy, food was OK but you have the option to eat out if you wanted to, pool freezing but I took wetsuits for the kids which helped. We had a lovely time away.

This is a cheap and cheerful hotel. As said in previous reviews it is extremely tired and worn and requires a fair bit of basic maintenance. We had three rooms and had ant issues. One room was damp aswell. From previous experience this should only be two star at best. Housekeeping were very good. Reception staff helpful and polite. Food was basic but edible, although very repetitive. The two pools were freezing cold. We had rooms above the animation staff who were very loud late at night. We enjoyed our family holiday but I would not return.

The hotel is worn and needs some repairs. We had no hot water for 2 days and found the reception to be very unhelpful. The breakfast was very good we did not have lunches and the evening meal was ok. The staff work hard to keep up with demand but the noise level can get very load when they are clearing plates and moving trolleys around. A lot of the plates were dirty and the chairs in the restaurant need a good clean. We should have had a sea view but had 2 very large trees in the way of it. Over all it was ok for a quick getaway but could have been so much more.

Cheap and not so cheerful!!!! Hotel rooms ok, generally clean although tired. Food is awful unless you love chicken nuggets, cold chips and fish with everything. No fresh veg or meat etc. Each meal time food is cold. Its like a school canteen. God forbid you ask reception for anything...... Genuinely would not return 😕
