Relais Villa Alma ★★★★
"We were visiting south Italy and our flights had an overnight stay in Rome. I ended up booking a room at Villa Alma for the night as it is close to the airport. The taxi from the airport dropped us at the entrance to the street instead of driving us to the front of the building. The driver was also rude and dismissive. It was late when we arrived. So about 10:30pm. Normally check in to Villa Alma closes at 9pm but the owner (Opi??) was waiting for us outside to guide us to the building. Since the taxi did not take us all the way to the door, we were not clear which building to go to but Opi waiting for us outside really helped. Opi was furious that the taxi driver was rude and also made us walk. When we told him what we paid for the ride, he told us he overcharged us and that was wrong. He said he was planning to go to the airport in the morning so he could drop us off as well. We went for a walk and had dinner. This is a nice neighborhood with a canal running through it. It has bridges over it. The view is nice. Also there are plenty of restaurants and bars open in very easy walking distance. We enjoyed our walk a lot. It seems this neighborhood has some festivals in summer so it might be good to go back. Anyway the room was clean, smelled good, well maintained and overall pleasant. We stayed at the room in the first floor (half a flight of walk up) Opi had a breakfast ready for us when we got up in the morning. He had juice, filled croissants, yogurt, coffee, tea etc. Overall I would say the breakfast was nice. He ended up driving us to the airport (along with somebody who works there) as he promised and refused to take money to make up for the bad treatment we had by the taxi driver the night before. We insisted but he refused it. Such a nice guy who made us feel good and happy to meet him. In general I prefer to not to write negative only reviews. But I made sure to write when somebody goes above and beyond. So in general this stay was definitely a good one."
Hotel DeVille ★★★★★
"Beautiful modern hotel with lovely little touches. All the restaurant staff are exceptional, very friendly. The food in restaurant is of high standard and very good quality - loved the breakfast selection, the fresh juicer was a great plus. We dined in restaurant twice for dinner. Aperitifs at 7pm was a splendid gesture. The 5* spa is a fabulous feature for this small boutique hotel. The nuts and drinks In spa were lovely extra. The rooms are very well appointed. Lovely modern decor. Infinity swimming pool is a plus. One thing to mention, It is a shame we see top of the restaurant roof when sat on our room balcony on 2nd floor. If there was one thing we’d suggest is to provide an improved checkin experience. It could have been more Informative. There was no explanation of the hotel facilities, spa, restaurant, underground car park etc..We’re glad we chose this hotel for its unique luxurious features."
Residence la Filanda ★★★
Poiano Garda Resort Appartamenti ★★★
"We have stayed in an apartment at Poiano three times now on a half board basis and have never been disappointed. The apartments are clean and tidy with comfortable beds and excellent air conditioning. Yes some require you to walk up hill but it's worth it for the incredible view. Every single member of staff is helpful and friendly. The regular shuttles down to the town are invaluable. You may experience a short wait of 15 minutes or so at busy times but it's free, from an easy location to find and saves a long uphill walk. We used it most days, both up and down. The food in the restaurant is plentiful and drinks are well priced. There is always a salad buffet to go with the first and main courses and dessert buffet. Do be aware that it's not spaghetti Bolognese and pizza. We didn't eat pizza once. It's proper Italian food - gnocchi, fish, veal etc. If you choose not to eat in the hotel there are plenty of excellent cafes and bars on the lake front. The swimming pool is great. Large fluffy pool towels are provided which is so helpful. It's less busy after 3pm so we tended to go to the pool in the afternoon for a few hours. The pool bar serves good food quickly and is not expensive. Everything at the pool and from the bar is charged to your room and you pay at the end of your stay. Tourist tax is €5 per person per day. We used the local buses and the ferry to visit other towns such as Malcesine. Timetables are easy to look up and fares are not expensive. We also took an organised trip to Venice which we would highly recommend. Don't worry about other negative reviews. Just do your research. It's steep in places. It's not the place for you if you have mobility issues. There isn't loads of parking but there's enough. Yes you have to empty your own bins but there are designated areas for this, well hidden and only a short walk away, wherever at Poiano you are stsying. Towels are changed mid week. Our apartment was well equipped with a sink, fridge and cooker and plenty of space. The view was incredible. We'll be back for our 4th visit!"
Madrigale Panoramic Lifestyle & Soulful Hotel ★★★★
"We celebrated our 45th Wedding Anniversary at Madrigale Panoramic & Lifestyle Hotel and had the best time ever. The facilities and rooms were exceptional and location gave fantastic panoramic vies over the Garda Town and the Lake. The staff in all areas were very friendly and professional; they acted very promptly to all our requests/questions and went the extra mile to ensure we had the best time. We stayed in the Deluxe Suite, Lake View (Panorama , which was fantastic; this is the one to go for if you want that extra bit of luxury. We had dinner at the restaurant a couple of time during our stay and the food was excellent, as were the staff; the Maitre'D ensured we had the best possible service. Thanks to all the staff at the hotel, we had the fantastic time. I would highly recommend staying here, you won't be disappointed!"
Boffenigo - the Golden Hour ★★★★
"We’ve spent a week in Boffenigo hotel as a family of 5 staying in a double & a triple room with lake views which are to die for! Our room was clean, spacious, the bed was comfortable & the balcony was large with great views. The pool was large & there were plenty of parasols & sun-beds in the beautiful garden surrounding the pool. For once we didn’t have to stress & rush to grab a spot for sunbathing which makes all the difference. The hotel was quiet & relaxing unlike those hotels that offer all inclusive & attract the wrong type of holiday makers. Breakfast was included & had enough variety. The icing on the cake in this hotel is the friendly staff. They’re always happy to help with a smile from the front desk who deserve a special shout out to the restaurant/bar staff. Highly recommended! Thanks Boffenigo for a memorable week. "
Golf Cà Degli Ulivi ★★★★
"The services are the best and the food was exquisit. Splendid view and ambiental music creat an unique experience. If you get in the zone, you should not miss it. The meniu gives you the opportunity to delight your taste buds and you ll be amazed of the deserts taste also."
Relais Rossar Boutique Hotel Garda & Hills ★★★
"Everything perfect, wonderful room, very kind staff, maximum cleanliness, it was really a great discovery, it is worth highlighting the idea of the hot tub on the balcony of the room reachable by a private staircase. I didn't know the place but it is certain that I will return."
Poiano Resort Appartamenti ★★★
"I can only recommend more because of the friendly staff, the extensive area with many sports offers."
