We had such a lovely time at The Shandon Hotel. We were upgraded to a seaview room on arrival, which was such a thoughtful surprise — and honestly, the view was incredible. Looking out over the water every morning was the perfect way to start the day. The staff were all so welcoming and friendly, really went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. You can tell they genuinely care about guests having a good experience. The food was fantastic too — fresh, tasty, and plenty of choice whether you’re after something casual or a bit more special. Can’t recommend The Shandon enough for a relaxing break in a beautiful part of Donegal. Thanks again to the whole team — we’ll definitely be back!

People make places and that is very true of the great staff here. Brilliant reception team, always keen to help in anyway and advise on the area. And Nial, so comical yet professional, a great welcome from him to start the day at the fantastic breakfast spread. Marble Hill is like your own private beach.The Spa is so relaxing with great offers; thank you to Evelyn for being so welcoming and organising extras, and Mags and Eileen for the fantastic facials with latest Red light therapy! The rooms are spacious and comfy with great walk in shower option for my Mum. Planning to return with friends group next time! A special corner of Donegal!

The Shandon Hotel is amazing we were a group of ten celebrating a 50th birthday. The staff couldn't do enough for us. We had to cojoing rooms,they had little treats in each room and a lovely card for the birthday girl. We enjoyed the thermal suite and our treatments were the best ever. We had dinner included in our package which was amazing, the best food ever I tasted. The waitress was also super friendly. The rooms are spotless with the most breathtaking views ever. I have stayed at the Shandon Hotel twice now and I'm already looking into booking my next visit. Look forward to my next visit Regards Lorraine Gallagher

Although the hotel was fully booked, with lots of families, our room was in a quiet location. It was a lovely big bedroom with an amazing view. It was clean and well presented. The trip was a 2 night stay for a birthday present for my partner. The hotel staff were lovely and placed a birthday card and some lovely sweet treats in the bedroom for our arrival. Nice touch. The bar and resturant staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The food was excellent and we certainly didn’t leave feeling hungry. We used, the pool, jacuzzi and sauna, which we had to ourselves mid afternoon. Great weekend break, and one to which we will most definitely return.

Stayed 2 nights beautiful location 5 min walk from gorgeous beach ,brilliant location for exploring, views from bedrooms and restaurant amazingly. Staff very friendly buffet breakfast was excellent had meal in bar which was also excellent. Definitely would go back again Did not try out spa as weather was amazingly next time hopefully.

Just back from the Love to spa experience at the Shandon with 11 others just before my daughter's wedding in a couple of weeks. It was just brilliant in every way. The staff throughout the spa and hotel were so friendly and helpful. The food was first class and the rooms spacious and very clean. Have already booked to come back in July and August. Thank you to all at The Shandon.

Having been our 3rd visit as a family , the shandon never ceases to amaze from the views , the food, ambience, hospitality, cleanliness, location and above all else the outstanding spa which my husband and I just love.... our boys are never bored, with a magnificent pool , tennis courts and the beach right on its door step .The Shandon is right up there at the top of our hotels to visit.

We love our breaks from the Shandon. The views from the many seaview rooms, looking out over Marble Hill Strand, are stunning and the hotel, near Dunfanaghy, is well located for touring in Donegal. Our room was spacious and the bed was really comfortable. All of the staff we met ( reception, bar, restaurant, room) were friendly, helpful and courteous. We had a tasty meal in Beats Bar and there was a good selection to choose from. The breakfast had a wide selection to choose from. We would probably rate the breakfast as 8/10. There could have been a wider selection of continental choices - we had the cooked breakfast which was very good. We hope to return again before too long
