The only problem I had was that every where in the hotel was very hot the room does have air con tho so once your in there it’s ok. We would stay there again

One night stay in a superior premium room with queen bed. Great location just off motorway. Car parking free to hotel guests. Friendly and welcoming lady on reception. Room was clean and comfortable and slept really well with no noise disturbance at all. Had an evening meal and breakfast. Food was good and restaurant was clean and spacious. What really made our stay so remarkable was the fantastic staff. A very polite young man who goes by the name of “T” (he said his name was too long and difficult to remember) was working in both the bar and restaurant. Nothing was too much trouble for him, he was always smiling and he never stopped working. The lovely man in charge of the restaurant for the night was called Fadika. He was so professional and attentive. Again, nothing was too much trouble for him and he genuinely wanted guests to have the best experience possible. I would stay at this hotel again without hesitation. Excellent value for money and great service.

This hotel is part of a chain of which I had never heard of previously. Some write ups have been poor but I must speak as I find, and that is that the staff and well motivated, even if the hotel is a little run down. Built in the 70's, it has 70's architecture - Britain wasn't at its best then as far as design went. The reason for choosing the hotel was the location as i was visiting the Herbert Art Gallery and also the transport museum and Cathedral - all within walking distance.
I believe the majority of guests are on coach tours. In fact, of you are a coach tour guest you get a special happy hour at the bar of two drinks for the price of one. Sadly, I didn't qualify. Notwithstanding, excellent food outside nearby. The buffet was limited.
My room was very large with a balcony. The bed / mattress was very comfortable. One door was missing off the cupboard, but never mind. The bathroom was large and had a nice big bathtub. Good stay. I was even allowed to check in early, albeit for a fee. Staff were very friendly. Location was excellent and should I be visiting again I would certainly stay here.

Room was clean and tidy, good value for the money. A good variety of TV channels and free WiFi, you can purchase films at £3.50 each but the selection could be bigger, and in this day and age I think £3.50 to watch a film is a but steep. Was surprise I had to pay for parking when I arrived at the hotel, a token should be given to guests for free parking. I could of driven straight out of the parking area as the barriers were not working, which the hotel knew about but still wanted me to pay the £6.50 for our overnight stay. Hotel reception, bar and restuarant was nice and modern but we only had one drink in the bar due to the prices, Pint of Heineken and half a coke was just under £8, so being just a 5 min walk into the town centre and 2 local pubs just a minutes walk away, we decided to eat out and drink out, saving ourselves a lot of cash. I'm happy to pay good money for good food, but the prices for food were just too high for a hotel restuarant, and nothing on the limited menu that my 13 year old daughter liked. This is a large hotel, so I think it would be good for management to extend there food menu for family's and at reasonable prices, even if it's just the bar menu. Opposite the hotel there are numerous outlets, restaurants, take away pizza, kebabs etc. Hotel is in a great locations. If you like playing pool, there is a Rielys pool bar 100yards from the hotel. Would I stay again? Yes I would, staff were friendly, hotel was clean, had a good night sleep, bed was comfy, shower worked fine, large TV, great location, local shops outside, walking distance into town, my only issue really, was that we had to pay for parking at the hotel, to stay at the hotel, I personally don't think that's ok.

Upon arrival I had major reservations about what I had booked. The photos on the booking site were nothing like what I was seeing. The car park was nealry rubble and the surrounding grounds were poorly kept. Reception was quite grand in appearance but that's the only good point this hotel has going for it. For the size of the place there is hardly any staff. The room I had booked wasn't available now so given another. Waking down the hallway I could see the carpet littered in stains, absolutely filthy Room was very dated and the furniture was a collection of random bits, our coffee table was missing a leg and was proped up by a chair. Some old 5 pin plug sockets by the beds for the lamps. Bar area was also tired in appearance although staff were very friendly. The whole place needs a major overhaul.

We enjoy coming to this location. It is out of the way, which gives us some good 'personal' time, we always have a warm welcome and there are plenty of facilities nearby.
Two points that you may wish to address are the prices in the service station food area.
(1) Can hotel guests not have a discount voucher as we aren't the 'transient' customer the services are priced to provide for.
(2) To get to/from Nuneaton/Coventry means there is a long circuitous route around the M6 in one direction (or the other); depending which side we park on. Is it not possible to allow hotel guests permission to use you ”secret” access road directly to the adjacent bridge over the M6, rather than needing a 15 mile round trip to get anywhere?

Outstanding
GGuest UserReally had high hopes at first glance this hotel has so much promise, being from Coventry originally I'm so glad this iconic building has been transformed and I will say it's been done well in parts however the reason for my star rating is the following. I'm on my second night of two and sadly had to move rooms. I had Room 27 first walk in was a huge Big Double you could easily use this as a family room it was that spacious, the downside and I would soon find out is this room is a connecting room and unfortunately I had very loud neighbours to which let's say I could hear everything. I'm also not the only person too mention this on their reviews. I had to complain about the noise during the night and again in the morning. Room 27 I sadly also found the bed far too soft and had around four hours sleep. Worth a mention that Room 27 over looks the courtyard and again I found that to be quite loud. I'm already feeling drained having travelled 1000's of miles to attend a family funeral. I'm now in Room 315 and what a let down. This is not a Big Double. It has the same lovely touches that go into detail of the hotels history however the room is so small. It's not a connection room and is a corner room which is one thing. I've tried to sleep and can't again the bed is not to a great standard honestly I find premier inn have better quality beds and if it wasn't booked I would of happily of gone there tonight. Upon check out I'm going to ask for a 50% refund and won't settle for less as having no sleep goes along way for anyone during any hotel stay. I would rate the breakfast as 3 / 5 i t was nice enough but nothing special. The staff are friendly enough but sadly with no sleep and some rooms not what you think your getting ie Room 315 is definitely not a Big Double I do feel sold out and I'm just disappointed and drained. Dreading my journey home tomorrow now with no sleep. I will add sense writing this as I booked through a third party and raised my complaints I was spoken too on the room phone by a Manager who had informed me my third party had spoken too them and wanted to know what my complaint was. Once I informed them of the noise and bed quality of both rooms ie the beds they snapped down the phone to me that this is a new hotel and the beds are new. They wouldn't be issuing a refund and basically my complaint was shot down. I have worked for over 25 years in the hotel trade even owning my own business of running successful hotels and bnbs. None of my staff would speak down to a customer in such a manner. They did end the call with see how I get on if I can sleep and speak to them in the morning however my mind is made up. This hotel is being run by monkeys who couldn't manage to peel a banana, let alone run what is meant to be a 4 star hotel. It's a 3 star over all at best with no pool, the poor quality of beds, lacking an average breakfast, is not that of any four star hotel I have been at or run successfully. Thankfully my third party are not i
GGuest UserWe were able to check in at 3.00pm. Room was very nice, slippers and robes provided and the tea/coffee facilities had the added benefit of a coffee machine. Bed was very comfy and warm with lovely pillows. Breakfast was good. Everything there that you would expect, cooked well and hot. We were a little disappointed though on the morning of departure when we attempted to get the lift down to reception only to find when it arrived that the maids trolley had been placed in there so we had to use the stairs. This caused a problem for my husband who suffers with his hip. Secondly, on leaving we were not informed that the barrier was open. We saw the sign in the car park saying we needed to get a token from reception, so we drove back and went in to reception to ask, only to be informed we didn’t need one. It would have been helpful to have had this information on checkout. Other than this everything else was good
DDrLOPSOther than the location (on the University of Warwick campus itself) the hotel is at best like a Premier Inn or other such budget hotel. It feels and looks like a dorm. One note to anyone walking from campus to hotel: there is no direct access from Arts Centre plaza. You have to walk all the way around business school to access car park. This was very inconvenient in the rain as it added a 5 mins walk.
The room was spacious and clean, though the bathroom sink was clogged when I checked in. Resolved the next day (though the first answer I received when asking for repair was that I may have to move). On second night the hearing went out; housekeeping brought a small radiator heater… no repairman came, however. Resolved the next day.
The food was cafeteria quality (both breakfast and dining room). I recommend eating elsewhere. Bar was ok, but not great.
Overall, I would recommend a different hotel for the price, and taking a cab to campus. Sorry
曹曹The castle hotel where Elizabeth I spent his childhood is really beautiful, the environment is beautiful, and the medieval castle hotel itself is classic and beautiful, it is worth visiting. Service is good, breakfast is good, as long as it is not a weekend, the price is super high, it is definitely worth a stay |
I regularly meet up with my sister at the Ansty Hall, Coventry for coffee and a catch up. I have to say that not only are the staff incredible and friendly (especially Luke) but the coffee is awesome too. It truly is a pleasure to call in and we are made very welcome every time. The location and decor are stunning and elegant and I would highly recommend a visit.
GGuest UserThe hotel arranged for me a room with barrier-free facilities, which was not very hygienic and made us uncomfortable. There is no air-conditioning in the room, only a fan. The UK is a bit unbearable when it encounters a severe summer.
DDONGHotel service, the environment is ok. The facilities are not satisfactory. The first room wash basin was not smooth, because it was late, no one repaired it, and changed it. However, the flushing of the toilet was a little problem, the water kept flowing, I didn't want to bother, and repaired it myself. The environment is ok, very quiet, unfamiliar with the geography of Coventry. It feels like it is in the village, about six kilometers from the railway station. Fortunately, it is very convenient to play Uber. There is nothing to go around, go out for more than a kilometer and have not found a restaurant to eat, return to the hotel, only to find inside the hotel, taste good, beer is great! The price is about the same as the London restaurant.
RRen.nyaIt was compact, but I was able to spend quietly in a calm environment. There are also microwave ovens, cooking utensils and tableware, so you can cook simple dishes. Especially if you just sleep, there is no problem at all. I didn't get the code for the main entrance at check-in, so I was in trouble because I didn't know it. But when I contacted him by phone, he kindly responded.
GGuest UserReally nice hotel, was incredibly clean.
Only issue we had was the walls were seemingly paper thin, and lots of people were drunkenly shouting.
We called reception to ask if they could ask them to quiet down at around midnight, rhe noise continued until 1am. I went and asked reception again if they could speak with the noisy guests, but instead of speaking to them they just said we could change rooms.
When it's 1am, you've already unpacked and only staying for one night; repacking and unpacking again isn't ideal. Did ruin the stay to be honest.
Not the fault of the hotel that other guests were being loud, but would be nice if they'd have actually spoken to them instead of just offering to change our room in the middle of the night.
