Fox and Hounds Llancarfan

From start to finish the experience at this beautiful country venue is amazing. From booking online to the welcome as soon as you arrive effortlessly perfect. Welcomed with a warm greeting to what is a bustling but calming country and local venue. Service is exceptional but elevated by its professional and helpful team. The food just words can’t describe, plentiful, extremely well presented and piping hot. The scenery is bliss placed along side a river with views over adjacent greenery. Ample parking is available. This is truly a must visit establishment. You could want for anything from service, venue and most of all outstanding food. They also have rooms to stay so this is possibly going to be one of my next reviews. A huge thank you to the team who have made every visit a memorable one.

Three night business stop over . Didn’t eat or drink in the pub area so have no view of this area . Room , tired . 3/10

Great value short trip A short-stay business trip, but what a treasure to find! Friendly, clean, tidy, with a good selection of beers and something on the menu to suit any taste. Everything laid out next day for an early (06:30) breakfast getaway.

Bed bugs and cobwebs There were huge bed bugs and cobwebs everywhere. I ended up sleeping in my car. The manager was amazing and stated he only bought property a couple of months ago. I did get a full refund, which was expected as I had to sleep in my car. I sent a video to the owner, which he was shocked as cleaners went in the day before. If that was the case you NEED to sack the cleaners. When I collected my things the next morning, I saw the cleaners who were very rude to me.

We have just returned home from an overnight stay at your place and have to say we were extremely disappointed. The room its self didn’t feel very clean and smelt of curry or something similar. The door was was extremely sticky and had to be almost forced to get both in and out of the room. We stayed in room number 3. The pictures on ******* are extremely misleading because the room that I booked looked nothing like the pictures displayed online. There was mould around the bath, the toilet was slanted and felt like you were sliding off of it when you sat down and the cistern at the back of the toilet seemed to be coming away from the wall and there were missing tiles too. We wanted to shower but couldn’t shower as there was no hot water which is absolutely disgusting and there isn’t anyone on site to raise the issues with. We got up and left early because we just couldn’t wait to get away from the place.All in all we would definitely never return and would not recommend the accommodation to friends or family.

Beautiful rural place Really helpful and pleasant staff, pub was beautiful and the room was really nice
