Oaks Lake Crackenback Resort

Such a beautiful location and so much to do. The kids had a ball with all the activities. 2 restaurants to choose from we didn't have to travel far at all for meals. The rooms were huge, and we could all be close together. Can't wait to come back

The location is just stunning, the apartment was perfect for what I needed, warm and very comfortable There are lots of things to do if you want to, and Mt Kosciusko is just up the road. Personally, I loved the walking track around the resort, loved the wildlife on the doorstep. The staff are exceptional and the included breakfast was sizeable and delicious.

Accomodation good , private, but spread out. Facilities are good and free. Great for quite time of doing nothing or some activity.

Our stay at Oaks Crackenback was exceptional. Not only was the room stunning, the staff and overall experience was amazing. Friendly staff who were super helpful & a couple of onsite eating options which were really convenient. Close to Thredbo & a little quieter with walking tracks close by.

Stayed for a week in a mountain studio a couple of weeks ago, and have been staying at crackenback every year for about 10 years! The Crackenback area is so tranquil, the bush walks are great, all the activities around the resort are fantastic. I utilised the resort shuttle to the ski tube every day and the drivers were fantastic! Thankfully I didn’t notice any significant change with the check in etc, now it has changed over to Oak. Although the website is very clear in stating that every studio may have different fittings and facilities etc, I do find it challenging how different some of the studios are, (and I have stayed in quite a few over the years). This time I I was at 11 little thredbo rd and the studio was looking pretty tired and definitely not clean; lots of mould in the shower, hair all over the fabric lounges and the table still had cup marks in it. It was also very frustrating not to have a full fridge in the studio, as I had bought lots of food with me as I always do. This studio was accessed via a flight of stairs and there was no WiFi. It would also be good if every lobby between the chalet and studio had a big sign reminding all guests that they are under the same roof and to be mindful of the noise they are making.. Overall, lake crackenback is still a beautiful place to stay, but for the price per night there could be some improvements!
