Today, my husband and I met our niece, Nicola Doran - at The Old Crawfordsburn Inn We also want to highlight how incredibly supportive @crawfordsburninn is of wheelchair users and people with disabilities. The manageress, Joanne, was outstanding — she saw us drive in and came straight out to help before we even had to ask. Kindness and awareness like that make a real difference. We are raising awareness across Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland about the poor accessibility still faced by wheelchair users and people with prosthetic limbs in public spaces such as beaches, parks, outdoor areas, and leisure facilities, and Joanne and her team were absolutely amazing, thank you all so much x Joanne you are an angel 😇

Staff and entertainment were fantastic. Rooms are out dated and tired with wall paper coming off the walls and cracked tiles and mould in the en-suite. Food was ok but over priced as were the drinks too. £280 for an overnight stay with a 2 course dinner. The hotel is below average and in my view not value for money. I would not return nor recommend this hotel.

Awful rooms out dated, wall paper coming off the wall. Food just about average but over priced and £13.00 for a glass is of white wine and £15.00 for a cocktail. Not at all value for money won’t be back!!

My wife and I have just returned from a two night stay at The Old Inn to celebrate a special anniversary. On arrival, we were greeted warmly by the lady at reception, who was fully aware of our occasion. It was a lovely start to our stay, and we really appreciated the thoughtful touches in our room to mark the celebration. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with the standard of food in both the restaurant and at breakfast. We dined on Monday, 10th November, choosing from the à la carte menu. While our serving staff were friendly and attentive, the quality of the food did not meet expectations. The scallops I ordered were overcooked and smothered in sauce, and several of the side dishes, particularly the chips, appeared to be of a cheap, frozen variety. Breakfast the following morning was also below standard. We were served cold coffee, and the toast (which we returned, as did our neighbouring table) was barely toasted. It’s a real shame, as The Old Inn itself is a beautiful hotel with genuinely welcoming staff. However, the dining experience unfortunately let the stay down, and for that reason, we would be hesitant to return.

Well what a wonderful experience .. planned to do a lot in the area but no .. Arrived Monday after lunch left after breakfast Wednesday & didn’t leave the building once! Cosy wood fires, warm sitting areas, great food and especially welcoming staff.. our bedroom, with a requested disabled bathroom & bedroom wasn’t huge but perfectly formed ! Best two nights sleep in years .. thank you The Old Inn already wondering when we can come back!

Hotel Review I recently stayed at this hotel and while there were some highlights, the overall experience left me disappointed, especially considering the cost. Room Quality & Cleanliness: The room was excellent—spotlessly clean, well-maintained, and very comfortable. This was definitely one of the high points of the stay. Staff Service: The staff were very friendly and generally helpful, creating a welcoming atmosphere throughout the hotel. Spa Facilities: The spa itself was relaxing and well-equipped. However, the drinks service was frustratingly slow—we waited over 20 minutes, which detracted from the overall experience. Dining Experience: Dinner was okay, but breakfast was a letdown. The poached eggs were undercooked—not once, but twice—and the traditional fry items like soda bread, potato bread, and black pudding were not enjoyable. For a hotel of this standard, I expected much better. Value for Money: At £525 for dinner, bed, and breakfast, I did not feel this stay offered good value. The quality of the breakfast and the slow service in the spa were particularly disappointing given the price. Overall: While the room and staff were great, the dining and spa service issues made this stay feel overpriced and underwhelming. I wouldn’t rush back unless improvements are made in key areas.

We had the Sunday menu and although it was brief and you had to choose 2 or 3 courses, there was good range of choice. The food was good and portions sizeable (as is usual in NI). Nice to see they don’t skimp on crackers with the cheese as so many places seem to do, which is silly penny pinching. The thing that was better here than nearly all the other NI establishments I have visited (including the Culloden up the road) was the service. At least they had enough staff to cater for its size, and they were attentive, well trained and dealt with things promptly. Would happily return.

Quick lunch stop after Helen's Bay visit. Exellent decour, staff and food. Just had starters and drinks but will come back to try a fuller menu. Mackerel salad and goats cheese flan, delicious.

Katie was an amazing therapist, over 30 years of experience. She was able to give me the perfect facial to leave my skin glowing. Katie performed an amazing massage also, great strength but also very relaxing. We will be back. Judith B.
