My wife and I stayed at this hotel Saturday 20/09/2024 for 1 night , travelling by train which is directly over the road. We arrived at about 09.30 and was greeted by a pleasant women on reception. We left our overnight bag with the hotel and travelled to Nantwich for a pleasant afternoon arriving back about 16.00. We was quickly checked in and was given directions via the lift to room 128. The room was found to be comfortable and warm with a on suite bathroom / shower stocked with everything required. The room and beds were clean and comfortable. We had booked breakfast for the next morning and again was very good with all you could expect. I would definitely stay at these premises again.

Booked hotel several months ago to attend a training course nearby, as I was travelling from Scotland. Got to door of hotel to have security turn me away as they have "closed". Mad dash to find alternative hotel which thankfully I did. It seems they cancelled all paying guests to enable them to take in asylum seekers for guaranteed income. Shocking they dont advise people with existing bookings. I had been told wasnt that nice but was looking for 1 night cheap and cheerful

The hotel is very large and old, built 1880. The receptionist was friendly and gave us our room key and we were in our room on the first floor within minutes. We thought we had stepped into a time warp and transported back to 1980. The room decor was old, no bedside table or bed light. The shower was stuck onto the bath taps. We did not like the location of our room, which was at the back of the hotel. There was a constant humming noise coming from outside the window. You could even hear it with the window shut! Was it coming from the hotel fan directly below the window or the noise from the nearby railway station? Our room did not look like any of the pictures on the website before we booked. The evening meal and breakfast were great and the bed was comfortable.

I stayed here on the 30th June for one night, parked my car to check in and take my bags to my room then took my car back to the owners. I was amazed to hear that I received a parking fine of £45 for the 20mins or so that I was there with a car when it was supposed to be free parking. No one advised me of the possibility of being fined or whether I needed to submit the registration.

Wonderfully personalized service. Special shout out to Rachael Bickerton & her team who organized a special family event with all of the attention to detail, patience and professional attitude that special family occasions demand. Everyone had a great time and the catering exceeded expectations.

Wow this hotel is very dated, smelly and basic inside. It needs a few million pounds spent on it. It would never ever be my choice to stay here, but for one night on a coach trip, it did the job. I did not like the way the evening meal was it 8 pm when it was a coach trip for toddlers and children as this was far too late. Also asked for a cot in the room, but this was not provided. The food however was lovely (best mince pie and brownie ever!), the beds were very comfortable, and the staff seemed helpful.
