Sitting on top of Cromer’s spectacular coastline, The Cliftonville Hotel is a cliff-top hotel overlooking Cromer Beach. With all of its rooms having an unrivaled sea view, whether of the sea front or of the famously beautiful Victorian era Cromer Pier.
Opened in 1897, this Edwardian Grade II-listed building has an elegant style and an excellent location. Having recently completed a full refurbishment, we have kept the elegant Edwardian character of the building, from stained glass windows to our original grand staircase. Our newly renovated boutique rooms now offer a modern, comfortable and chic getaway.
Our onsite restaurant has a seasonally changing menu, we are very passionate about supplying fresh, locally sourced ingredients to support our local businesses as well as provide our guests with the highest quality produce.
We have onsite parking available at the side and back of the building, as well as the roads surrounding the hotel offering free parking. Obviously during the peak seasons, we cannot guarantee parking as it is based on a first come first served basis.
The Cliftonville is in a prime location, being just a quarter of a mile from the town center as well as Cromer Pier. With a variety of shops in our lovely town our hotel is in the perfect location. As well as exploring our seaside town, there are many other activities available in nearby towns and villages too such as Sheringham, Holt, Wells-upon-sea and many more!
As well as being on the coast we are located just 23 miles from Norwich City center. Norwich is one of Britain’s most beautiful historic cities, with The Lanes, Norwich Market and Chantry place being some of the best places in Britain for shopping.

We had our wedding at The Cliftonville and it was absolute perfection! all of the staff were so friendly and helpful; the food was amazing. Due to travelling for the wedding we had taken over the hotel for the weekend, all of our guests could not stop telling us how amazing the drinks and food were (especially the pizza we had in the evening!) Cromer means a lot to me and my partner so to be able to celebrate our day in such a perfect way made it more special! A special thankyou to Deb who answered all of my questions leading up to the day and ensured that everything flowed perfectly!

The views from our room were outstanding and made a massive difference to our stay. Our room was clean, bed was comfortable and staff were very nice. I love the victorian building and although our room had a couple of little issues (eg. crack in bathroom mirror) this did not spoil our stay. We managed to park at the hotel and left our car there the whole time which was a bonus. Cannot wait to come again!

Oh wow the mattress on the bed was to die for. So comfortable. The whole hotel is luxurious, beautiful stain glass windows, crystal chandler's and fabulous furniture. The hotel so clean and tidy and the reception area and dining room are beautifully staged. Our room was clean and nicely decorated with lovely views of sea. No road noise! And a lift. Thank you for a wonderful visit. We will be back.

We had a very relaxing stay at The Cliftonville to celebrate our wedding anniversary and were thoroughly spoilt. Chloe was so welcoming as we checked in at Reception and really helpful throughout our stay. The food was outstanding and Holly and Richard provided fantastic service in the restaurant. Our room was so comfortable, clean and quiet, perfect for a relaxing stay with uninterrupted sea views. We are looking forward to our next stay at The Cliftonville.

Second visit here - and just as great as the first! The staff were friendly and helpful and our room was warm, clean and comfortable. The food was delicious and the waitress was great! The location of the hotel is perfect; just along the front from the centre of Cromer. Looking forward to my next visit!

This was our second visit to the Cliftonville. We love this place - it has a great atmosphere, retaining it’s traditional character as well as keeping up with the times, but not overdone, The staff are so welcoming, friendly, thoughtful and helpful. Our room was terrific with an exceptionally comfortable bed.

The room was spotless and designed for comfort, offering a cozy retreat after a day by the beach. The serene location by the sea added a special touch to my stay. Waking up to the sound of the waves and enjoying breathtaking ocean views from my window was incredibly refreshing. If you're looking for a relaxing getaway where cleanliness, comfort, and charm are top priorities, this seaside gem is the perfect choice. I’ll definitely be returning for another stay!
