Crows Nest Tourist Park

We recently stayed at this caravan park as two families with small children and, unfortunately, left feeling quite unwelcome. While the facilities were generally fine, the way we were treated during our stay left a lot to be desired. One evening around 8pm, while sitting at the designated bonfire area (a fair distance from other guests), the children were naturally excited—laughing and playing as kids do. The property manager approached us in a surprisingly aggressive manner, saying their noise was “unacceptable.” This was not only upsetting but confusing, as 8pm is not a late hour, and there were no posted noise restrictions at that time. Another incident occurred when the children accidentally wandered too close to another property within the park. The manager once again rushed out and scolded us—this time in front of the children—telling us their behavior was “unacceptable” without any prior warning or attempt to approach the situation calmly or respectfully. There is a right way to speak to guests, especially when children are involved, and this was certainly not it. It’s also worth noting that we spent more time outside than planned because our original accommodation was cancelled by the park at the last minute due to a leaking roof. Had we been in the original booking, all the kids would have been together indoors, likely resulting in a quieter and more settled evening. We were surprised at how quiet the park was given it was school holidays, but after our experience, we now understand why. If this is the attitude toward families with children, it’s hard to imagine many would feel encouraged to return.

This is a neat and tidy caravan park with lovely gardens. They have two club rooms and one is large enough for a function. The manager was very helpful and the park was very well priced. The amenities are a bit dated but very clean. We would certainly stay there again.

We stopped in a cabin for 3 nights. The bed was comfy. There was hot water. The air-conditioning and the fridge worked. The cabin itself was pretty basic. I laughed when the plate was too big for the microwave and I had to transfer the food into a bowl! Overall on the expensive side for the standard of accommodation.

I thoroughly enjoyed my overnight stay at Crows Nest Tourist Park in a Cabin. Everything was lovely, clean and very comfortable, quiet, beautiful grounds. The cabin was for 2 people and had cooking facilities, crockery and cutlery for 2. Booking was easy and reception staff friendly. Near the town centre for a take away meal. Thank you for a lovely stay!

This park is surprisingly quiet despite being on the New England Highway. The facilities are excellent and spotless. We enjoyed our stay in the area and there was plenty of things to do. I would recommend this park to all types of travellers from families through to business travellers.

My wife and I and our mini poodle stayed in a pet friendly cabin recently for 3 nights and had a lovely time. Tina and Des were friendly and very helpful both on the phone and in person. Tina even arranged for Bonnie to be looked after whilst we went for a bush walk in the nearby national park to see the Crow’s Nest falls- well worthwhile. There are some lovely birds in the aviary and our cabin overlooked the next door deer farm and cattle farm. It felt like a farm stay🙂 Highly recommend, and we will be back as there is so much to see and do in the area.
