Nice but too expensive!

Fantastic Family Resort!! This property greatly exceeded our expectations when it came to how they treated us & our two young babies. I would highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a tropical vacation that has fun adventures for adults & plenty to do for little ones. + The rooms are up to four seasons standard -- wonderful shower, beds are like clouds, plenty of space, and great views. + Each restaraunt is unique with awesome service and delicious choices. Loved the sushi/asian option the most. + Kids club and babysitting services was phenomenal. Never seen a resort make child care so easy. The stitters where highly professional and the kids club had its own pool + tons of play areas for the children. This gave us several hours per day to enjoy solo and the kids were still taken great care of and having a blast. + Kids under 5 eat free at restaurants…amazing +Boat excursions, beach massages, great pool service +Alan on the beach is super cool guy and set us up with fun events. We went during rainy season and somehow did not get any rain. Amazing experience and would recommend to other families in an instant.

We were looking for a restful vacation after a stressful year. We had a WONDERFUL time! The hotel was great, and the location on the peninsula was cool: one side was ocean (our normal preferred location), but the other side was the bay where all the watersports facilities were. The banquet manager saw us looking up at my favorite tequilas, and offered us some at 11 a.m.!!! (we took a small taste.) We would definitely go back!

This was our second stay at the Four Seasons Costa Rica, and somehow, it was even more magical than the first. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed — like we were returning home. The staff went above and beyond in every way, and we were thrilled to be upgraded to a beautiful plunge pool suite that made our stay unforgettable. What makes this place truly exceptional is the people. Camilo greeted us with a smile every day and helped us settle in like family. At Bahia, we were spoiled by Leidy, Chicky, Sharon, Ignacio, and Alyssa — the food and hospitality were amazing, and Ignacio remembered my request for tortillas each morning. Transportation was seamless thanks to Louis and Markel, and Marvin and Nacho were incredibly attentive around the pool and beach. Davis and Adriana made sure we were completely relaxed, while Silvia on chat was always quick to help with any request. Dining at Pesce was a treat thanks to Armando, Will, and Demetri, who went out of their way to make us feel special. Charlie’s rum class was a highlight — he even gave our two-year-old chocolates to keep her entertained! Sonia, the Assistant Director of Food & Beverage, always greeted us warmly and checked in often — even on our last day. I also want to thank the amazing security team, who helped me retrieve a drawer full of clothes I’d forgotten — I had an email with a photo by morning and my items were already en route via DHL! Daniel from housekeeping left such a thoughtful impression with the way he arranged bath mats around the plunge pool. The Kids Club team, especially Kendy, were so loving and attentive with our children — we’re incredibly grateful. Special thanks to Mikaela at the front desk for checking in with us often, and to Mr. Pierre, the Resort Manager, who took the time to personally welcome our family. At the FS Papagayo there's a Forbes plaque celebrating that this resort has been voted 'one of the best in the world'. We all know that these awards can sometimes be taken with a pinch of salt. However, in this case it is entirely true. I've been lucky enough to travel extensively and stay in some exceptional resorts. This is one of the very best. This was our 3rd stay at the FS Papagayo. We stayed in a 3 bedroom villa - #4822. Not cheap but you get what you pay for. Absolutely beautiful villa with amazing views. And as I said in my last review in July 2022, the services levels at this resort are superb. Special mention goes out to the team of drivers, headed by Karim, who ferry guests around in golf carts. Always friendly and efficient. In my last review I flagged one area where there was room for improvement at the resort - the gym. I was delighted to discover on this visit that the gym had been substantially upgraded. Lots of free weights. Indoor and outdoor squat racks. A smith machine. Good quality weights machines. A huge range of cardio equipment. And an excellent selection of free weights. Well done to the management of the resort! On the subject of improvements, all of the restaurants at the resort had improved since our last visit. And the beach club restaurant is an excellent addition. We missed the complimentary electric bikes. Apparently the system is being upgraded. Look forward to having them back in operation when we next visit. We will definitely be back.
